Anybody have an update on D'ath's injury? For me he's a big player for us and we will miss him if he's out for any length of time.

Here's one for you then... how many of our current squad of 27 first teamers haven't been injured yet this season?

According to the Chronic today Newey will be out for up to six weeks, so if that's the case I don't understand why we don't send him back to Oxford and get someone else. It can presumably only mean that we are signing him in January.

Diamond, Cresswell, D'Ath, Hornby & Horwood will all play in reserve game in build up to Plymouth.
Ian Morris has suffered set back and will undergo surgery this week that will rule him out of season.
So for the Plymouth game the only injured players should be Morris and Newey.
No excuses.

Think that takes Morris to the end of his contract? Would guess we've seen the last of him if so.

That's the second time Ian Morris has been ruled out for the season this season.

If all that lot are nearing fitness couldn't we send back a couple of the loans ? How is Murdoch by the way ?

I wouldn't get too excited...the lads have got to survive two full weeks of training before the next game.
Perhaps a mid season jolly to Kabul would be a safe way of seeing them through?

Of all the loanees we have at the moment, I think I would be inclined to send them all back except perhaps for Murdoch and/or Byrom who I think are pretty decent, plus we are short of bodies in the centre of the park until Hornby is fully fit.
* this discounts Mohammed who's basically permanently here.

I think that you will find the majority if the loaners are our players and the others cannot be sent back under the terms of their loan. Their parent company will have to recall them.

I wonder if there is a standard of duty of care which needs to be adhered to by the association ? we seem almost negligent of of all things fitness. I'm sure insurance companies would be interested in the standard of care.
