Scores first goal for west brom in premier league to beat champions Manchester United. Great to know cobblers had significant impact in his progress as he did really well here from what I remember. If only we had a goal scorer with his potential in the squad now. Hopefully he can get better and reach his full potential.

Also scored a hat trick in the League Cup a few weeks ago (albeit against Newport County), scored the equalizer earlier this week against Arsenal and has scored twice for the England U21s this season too. Could be our next England international!!

Quite sad, that we nurture these youngsters, who do very little in a claret shirt, then performs like that.
Only exemption being Kyle Walker, who  has moved forward in great strides!

I thought he was sharp when he played for us and didn't we offer WBA a fee for him?
I bet he's glad he swerved that one.

Not sure what Dayn is on about, it was obvious he was going to go on and make a name for himself, top player.

Not fair - Berahino did really well for us and was clearly destined for bigger things.

Are you delusional? He was simply on loan to us from...West Bromwich Albion! Their next England International maybe!

Agree, but he never seemed to have any consistency for the full ninety minutes, and often went a step too far.
Anyhow, he's that little bit older and wiser, so good luck to the lad.

There were moments when he was with us where he didn't quite look ready for first-team football (admittedly, with a fair few moments of brilliance). I remember him missing an absolute sitter away to Luton in Gary's last game in charge. He was a kid though, and bound to not have the certainty and composure that comes with the expierence that he's clearly got now. Hopefully an example that Toney can follow.

I don't remember us offering a fee and if we had, we would never have afforded the value  WBA had on him, they would have just pointed and laughed at us.

He has always been very highly rated at The Hawthorns, a Baggie I work with told me when we got him on loan that he was a great young player who they expect to bring through to their own first team.

I agree totally with that. We have so many kids in on loan and in our team of late. They are just that, kids learning their trade. Any young kid in any line of work will be inconsistent. People? Dick heads expect far too much.

For some obscure reason, you appear to condemn everything ,albeit very little, that I post on here. Why?

You know what I meant! As in we helped his development and he'll be the next former player to get a full cap like Walker...
