Nope, saying we have a strong list of 15 strikers means we won't be bringing a striker in. Saying we won't be bringing anyone in, happy with current squad etc etc means we will be signing someone.
That's what I thought as well...

I must admit I am struggling to see how this team is going to generate 55 or so points that are needed to guarantee survival in L2.
It won't. Almost half of it needs to change - and I think that gradually, it will. Whether what it eventually changes to can get the required points is the main question.

If you and some of the other daft ones on here think that by either remaining positive, or saying nice things that will change our plight, then carry on. I personally can't see that inspiring a group of our lesser players into doing any better than they ever have done. Whilst your doing that I'll keep on praying that we clear up the mistakes made at the start of the season by signing some more quality like Reid. Because that's what made a difference to the defence last Saturday. It had fcuk all to do with positivity. Reid and possibly a couple of others will be dressed up as injury cover... But we know the truth if we're honest.... Don't we It is to bail us out of this I'll conceived mess.. Well your entitled to your opinion - and if you wish to remain in your current frame of mind that's up to you. I don't see the point of endless moaning and I told you so's which you seem to come up with. We all make journey's and hope to arrive safely but you and your band of acolytes appear to hope otherwise. We all reserve the right to hope and I for one wish to remain in this group of hopers. To be dubbed daft or naïve by an apparent "no hoper* is taking the biscuit. I am going to AFC with others who I suspect hope that we might win. To me there is little point in forever adopting the doomsday attitude which never helps to win matches whilst a more positive attitude may just help a little. Incidentally the West Stand Effort in supporting the side on Saturday last was pretty insipid; to be out sung by some kids in the East Stand says it all. Lastly your supposed to be a leader on here and you cant lead with a pessimistic attitude.

Not sure I agree on all the points of detail but absolutely respect the spirit of what you say. Hope is not naive: good things do happen, and more good things happen with positive thinking!

Bloody Hell...a bloodless coup amongst the supporters' ranks! Can we have one amongst the NTFC board and management? I've always been a firm believer that anything is possible if you want it enough* Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to be an astronaught. It's not happened yet - I keep getting knock backs from NASA...but persevere I will...and one day! * Book of Wishy Washy bulls***e cliches (Puffin)

Or, in football terms, lots of people are sure they know better than Aidy, but he's the only one of us who's done enough to get the manager job!

You carry on being a hoper. I'll stick to being a doer. It's served me very well up to now. My attitude has nothing to do with doom. I can see the problems and I just hope that it won't cost DC and other pro active types too much to bail out the hopers of this world, whether be you or Boothroyd. As for my leadership skills. I lead many people in life. I do it safe in the knowledge that they trust and respect me. Leadership is not hoping the problem will go away if you ignore it. It is about identifying it and offering a solution. Neither of which, you seem capable of. However, I am mildly flattered that you have elevated me to the status of leader on here I just assumed that I am like most on here. Just another bloke with a bit more time on my hands than I should have. But thanks Pleb Pleb! That's a resignation matter. One of the shortest leaderships in history.

Teams play worse when the fans are on their back, and teams get a lift when the fans get behind them. I'm pretty sure the partisan crowed for the last few games of GJ first season was a big part in us staying up.
I personally think things will pick up, we wont get promoted this year but we will continue to build. If DC has proved one thing whilst he has been here , its that he is not afraid to swing the axe.

Has partnered Darius Vassell at international level as well (assuming we'll be replacing Platt and Blyth? )
