Virtually the same price as most of the inferior rivals
Not that old chestnut, the brother in law has been spouting that mantra for months. Anyway the good news is it’s back from the garage so he will get to ride it for 20 minutes over the weekend before it goes back in? Apparently the mechanics roll the back wheel onto the service manual to keep the relevant page open. According to some by using it as a paper weight you guarantee some practical use? And yes he will get to read this.

I just recently traded the S1000r for an unreg S1000xr triple black. Wollaston 'found' me one six months after supplies dryed up. I'm getting off tired, but absolutely loving it so far Grin
44teeth on youtube is a favourite of mine Melbourne (and stop prevaricating, that does no one any good. Instinct is all you need).

Her indoors has had a change of heart and put it on the back burner. I am desperately renegotiating with her as the sales bloke rang me from the dealership and did a right number on me mentally so I am aching for it. Need to get the trousers back on in our house as currently 5th in charge? However, I have a cunning plan although it comes at considerable expense, but watch this space?

How curious then that MCN, Visor down, and in fact the owners forum all vow to the contrary.

What.. MCN, Visor Down. Bennett’s, Autotrader, the owners. Take your pick, they all love it. They are huge sellers, and have one of the highest renewals. But... Why let the facts get in the way of the brother in laws woes 😀😀😀

I should point out 2 facts.
1. My expertise on motorcycles is less than that of football!
2. The pleasure derived from any of my comments made about said bike has proved too great to allow a few minor points such as facts or reality stand in the way? Particularly when my Street Triple was consigned to the junk yard before it left the showroom by my all knowing self appointed bike guru brother in law! Annoyingly it seems to be running ok at the minute though?

All, I shared this with CJ a while ago. I cannot recommend this YouTube channel enough. Think Canadian junior Jeremy Clarkson in the early top gear days. Reviews on bikes, helmets, clothing it’s all here, brilliant.

On a separate note still got the street triple, fully intend to upgrade but still prevaricating.

Just spotted this thread and have no recollection of starting it, although it was in 2010 and I struggle to remember what I've had for breakfast.

My biking days are behind me but here is the bike that started it.

At the other end of the scale....I am about to sell my daughters 2016 Piaggio Zip 500cc 2 stroke, £1,000. Only 3000km on the clock and lovely little bike for a young 'un, or town user who doesn't want to put £80 in their tank! Little free advert....
