Other results going our way too pretty much. Nobody below 17th is currently winning.

Stopped the beginnings of another losing streak. Didn't have commentary but it read quite even (and entertaining dare I say!), shots on target 5 v 3 (despite twice as many shots which I always take with a pinch of salt), possession 51% vs 49%. Pity we couldn't grab a winner as would have moved up the table 3 places.

Be interested to hear from some of the 4,000.

The blame for this has to rest squarely on the defence.

If you score 2 goals at home you should win the game. Simple as that.

It's not but I think our squad has the makings of one that could go on a slide of Accy proportions, we've been close a couple of times. We need to stay in touch with the bottom half of the table to have the chance to climb up in the next dozen games. If we don't then AB will be a very, very lucky man to still be in a job.

We simply gave two goals away: just backed off Hines for their first and lost the forward at the back post under a long cross for the second. Can't really do that and win games.

Don't want to dwell on the negatives after many good things about the performance, but didn't at all understand Boothroyd's tactical tweakings in the last twenty minutes. Darren Carter finally puts in quite a decent performance, is probably our strongest attacking threat and then gets sent back into anonymity? Meanwhile Norris was knackered after 60 minutes and should have come off then, but then I guess we need better attacking options on the bench.

It was another entertaining game but a slightly soft underbelly remains, the 2nd goal was about as bad as defending gets despite Reid and inparticular Doumbe looking accomplished for much of the rest of the game. We're still desperately missing a really good anchor man, Morris took his goal well but had a stinking first hour. Meanwhile Hines is way too good for this league.

We wasn't a million miles away today. A mad couple of moments in defence spoilt a half decent performance...

I've thought that on a couple of other occasions this season but at the end of the day it's a bad result again

Carter did much better in a more forward role and moving Morris into the centre also seemed to suit him better. His first touch still lets him down too often though.
Today , apart from the mad 5 minutes , was generally quite encouraging and much more entertaining than last seasons fare.
Thought young Dallas had a good game too.
The new lad didn't look fit to me and should have been subbed earlier and I couldn't work out why it took us so long to bring Ishy on so he could pick up his regulation booking ( absolute liability and should be sent out on loan IMO )
We still need a striker though, and PDQ !!
We are moving in the right direction though. UTC

I reckon get that new striker in and we'll be a lot better, a goal scorer would be lovely. Glad that Boothy has finally realised his mistake and is trying to rectify these.

Encouraging today, but I feel like I've said that for ages. Win 2 of the next 4 for me otherwise I'll start to think he actually can't turn it round and I'll begin to have serious doubts.

It is... Boothroyd is not and should not be off the hook. 9 points out of 36 and second from bottom is a joke. Whilst I thought we played better, he's far from solved our issues.

..............midfield for a start - didn't quite understand Demon coming on in midfield - he looked a bit lost!

Thought he'd come on and play left wing but he went central.

Agreed, Ish never impresses or adds to the team, he is a liability and created nothing, we went backwards after he came on

After 8 games we had 4 points (1 in 6).
After 12 games we have 9 points (1 in 4)
Place your bets on the number of games we will have played when we reach 1 in 3 . . . . .

Another bad result today, the Cobblers are a very poor team, Aidy has brought in the likes of Ish' ,Emerton and Hooper, with Tooney being promoted to the first team, but he still prefers to play a quite poor loan player (Dallas) rather than any of his own signings. To me that just shows how badly wrong his team building has gone.

...and if he signed a loan player and didn't put him in the side, he'd be slated for that.

.......agreed but if he'd have signed one of his famous fifteen better players than akinfenwa the clubs leading scorer the previous season he may not have had to sign loan players at all.......the path that had previously been said that we would not be relying on this season.

A lot was made at a previous fans forum about lessons being learnt about an over reliance on young loan players.

When you fail to permanently replace last years too scorer with a proven replacement and then bring in three inexperienced loan players is it not fair to say that the lessons that were said to have been learned have quickly been forgotten??

Actually thought we played half decent today and deservedly went into the lead ,playing some decent stuff. Daggers first goal was a great strike, although Morris had at least 2 attempts at tackling him ,he simply wasn't strong enough, having said that he had a much better game in the middle and took his goal well. Carter had his best game and looks more suited playing further up the pitch. The signs are there that we are moving in the right direction and a point tuesday would be further indication we are slowly but surely moving in the right direction.
