Roy has made his decision and selected his 23+7. A couple of questionable selections but can understand the reasons for the picks but overall satisfied.
Uruguay and Italy will not be easy to overcome but if we get out of the group it is cup tie football so anything can happen.   Cool

Germany have only selected 2 'central forwards' in their 30 however 15 'midfielders'.

How does Welbeck play for ManUre, let alone England?  He couldn't trap a bag of cement!
Lallana excellent tonight.

It's difficult to see any winner past the mighty powerhouse of football that is.... Mexico.
I'll put a saver on England in case they slip up.

Hart, Johnson, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines and Gerrard are certain to start against Italy because we do not have anyone else.
But what about the rest?
Henderson alongside Gerrard?
Milner, Rooney and Lallana behind Sturridge up front? Although Roy will probably put Welbeck in instead of Lallana?

I disagree. I think Lallana will start. A crying shame about Oxlade Chamberlain. I can't see him playing in this tournament. A big loss.

I hope that you are right (Lallana).
On his performance against Ecuador, AOC should/would have been included in place of Welbeck?
Hopefully we make it past the group stage so that he can be involved.

Why are the Scouse commentators/pundits on whatever radio/TV station so biased towards the Liverpool players?

Talksport = Liverpool Fm. Think they despise any team who doesn't play like Barcelona or even thinks about playing a "Long pass".

Also Mickey Quinn is a fat red turd

The Krauts round here were trying to get me to go to the pub to watch their warm up game. I told them that warm up games this close to the start of the tournament are risky and thankfully I was proved right.

Two hours to the first match, 32 days of wall to wall football until the final on the 13th July.
Enjoy the tournament especially if England do as well as they should...

Anyone on here know owt about betting?

I had a £2 free bet on the Brazil vs Croatia game - put it on 3-1 with Neymar to score first, thought I might have a bit of a random punt.
Obviously the first goal was an own goal so this nullifies the first scorer bet. Am I right in thinking that I still get winnings as then it means that the bet is settled as a correct score single?

Saves me a trip to Ladbrokes if i'm completely wrong, and stops me looking like a tit!

On Betfair, Neymar was still listed as first goal scorer  Wink

Don't know about Ladbrokes though! Each bookies differ.

Wow! What a game that was. Van Persie and Robben on fire against Spain. Our defence would snuff out those two mugs though obviously.
