Berahino's has made some starts for a Premiership team, just for context. And at similar ages there's not a lot of difference potential wise.

Really? Berahino is younger than Blyth and scored goals in every divison and played at every youth level for England. I'd say at the moment they're polls apart.

He's done well but he's no Jemaine Defoe or Saido Berahino. He's not that level. Im certain of it. If he's not breaking into the Leicester team now he's never likely to.

I reckon Billy Kee, Lawrie Dudfield, Brett Williams and Louis Moult would be better comparisons.

I agree. Berahino is the kind of pacy goal scorer which grabs the headlines. Blyth is more workmanlike perhaps more of a Steve Howard. Leicester released both Billy Mckay and Billy Kee didn't they so maybe some hope with Blyth?

Back to Norris. As well as sticking the ball in the net, always a handy trait, he looks like an intelligent player to me. Wins a lot freekicks against the centre halves when he's unlikely to win the header.

Agree with all of this. But would also like to add he could be a new Simon Cox/Billy Sharp type player. Unlikely to ever make it in an ambitious Leicester team, so could probably sign him under value and develop him into a solid Championship level striker.

I agree Wolvo. I'd say his level at the moment is as promising lower league striker. I think he'd be a good match for us but attracting promising ambitious players would be a lot easier if our league position reflected our own ambitions.

I think Norris is absolute quality. Not only has he scored 4 in 5 but he gets into the positions...when his finishing improves he will be prolific.Which is why I was gobsmacked that they let him play in the cup. That said, Brentford are probably just playing the long game with him...

Regards Blythe, I can see him being available if we stumped up a couple of hundred k for him. The issue is of course is that if he scores a few more goals other clubs will compete with us for him...wait and see what happens I guess.

Either way, they can see us through until the around the window opens hopefully by which point other players will become available. And that is the key for us.

Really rate Norris and dead surprised Brentford cup tied him instead of Dallas, I thought it would be the other way round! He's not afraid to get a shot away when possible and looks to be the best player to come out of our feeder club.

The loan extension is all agreed in principle, no problem with that. No way would we be able to keep him permanently though.

Probably the best finisher we've had since Simon Cox.

I think Blyth is probably the more realistic target of the two.

He's not that good a finisher, but he's not afraid to miss and keeps getting in the positions.

He's a clever player. Backs in to CB's but wins the free kick. Half the size of Bayo but wins twice as many decisions. He can finish but agree with Baby, not a "great finisher" but then if he was, he wouldn't be at Brentford let alone here. He looks lazy but I don't think he is, just very laid back and "casual". He'll miss more than he scores but at least he's in the right spot.

We need them both.
