That is the overwhelming feeling amongst the fanbase as we come away from Sixfields. No vitriol, save the odd boo or clap for a Hereford player. There is a deathly silence, the kind of hush I've rarely experienced whilst walking away from a football game. Looks of anger are not present, merely shock and bewilderment. We're Cobblers fans, we thought we'd seen it all. We had not. NO-ONE saw that coming. No-one.

Why was there no booing? Is it that people don't care or was everyone in shock?
I really wanted to vent my frustration/disbelief but looked like a loony amongst rows and rows of silent people.

Silence is better than booing...says something booing can't.

My dad saw it. He told me that we'd throw away our 3-0 lead. I laughed at him. Then again, when I told him the Cobblers would beat Liverpool at penalties he laughed at me!

I can see your point. But it's silent there every Saturday. So to be honest the reaction today was not dissimilar to what is usually is. Silence as a statement at Sixfields just doesn't work!

I see your point, but when has it been silent after the game? Normally a few boos, clapping whatever....but nothing...yeah..ouch.

Yep, instead of a slight ripple of applause from a few hundred people near the tunnel in the West stand there was cheers and applause from a few hundred people in the South stand. The atmosphere at Sixfields is so s*** usually that today's reaction was too similar to the norm it to have any profound effect. A chorus of boos would have got the message across better IMO, but I guess it's not worth squabbling about - the damage was done on the pitch and in the dugout not in the stands!

I miss anger. Where's it gone?
You know where you stand with anger.
I can't stand apathy. It's worrying.
But obviously not enough to be angry about. What a mess.
