Does anybody on here know if the world cup games will be available on the internet? I know there be on hundreds of dodgy Iraq channels that freeze after every 6 seconds showing it but will ITV or BBC have it available live online?

4 'Nots' to complete the set?

Bit of a pretty pathetic way for the news to come out, being leaked by various journalists...

Why didn't the FA just make an announcement the moment they knew Barry would be fit?

Pretty ludicrous how its all coming out.

Shame about Adam Johnson, perhaps a tournament too soon for him....

No suprise about Walcott, possibly the most frustrating player in the history of football.

...... I agree. I had Johnson down as the 'wildcard', so a bit disapointed to be honest.

I also hear on the rumour mill that, Dawson, Parker, Baines and Huddlestone are also OUT. So thats the 7 I guess (including those above)?

Blimey, there's a few surprises here this morning.

Walcott not going is a absolute shock especially as SWP is going instead although I've always thought he's done alright for England. I'd have taken Adam Johnson too.

Carrick is absolutely s***, no idea why he's going.

Wallcott has had 2 games to prove himself and he has provided sweet FA. Im not surprised hes been left out.

..... its a bit of farce isn't it? Apparently the squad won't be announced until well into the afternoon now ......

I'm suprised at Carrick, he's been poor this season. I guess its 'experienced' cover for Barry that Capello has opted for? I'm also shocked at Walcott not getting in, especially with SWP making the cut instead. There's a lot of players that have had 2 games to prove something and I wouldn't say many of them have done anything special TBH!

Thats the problem, a winger should be able to beat his man, he never does, so from a footballing perspective, if confirmed, his omission is not a surprise.  Wink

Lennon and SWP beat their defenders

I just look at the 'supposed' squad we're taking and there's just an absence of wild-card players outside of the starting XI. No one to come off the bench and you think "this is your moment, son." Players like Walcott and Adam Johnson would have provided that.

I mean:

David James, Robert Green, Joe Hart;
Glen Johnson, Jamie Carragher, Ledley King, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Matthew Upson, Ashley Cole, Stephen Warnock; Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Gareth Barry, James Milner, Joe Cole, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aaron Lennon; Wayne Rooney, Peter Crouch, Jermaine Defoe, Emile Heskey.

That midfield is frankly average after the starting players.

You've got King in your squad, if the rumours are to be 'believed' it should be Dawson?

Delay to announcement until 1500hrs BST because Fabio cannot get in touch with one of the players.
Is it Rio?  He has a history of not being able to be contacted  Tongue
