I'd just like to know which way the land lies in terms of people's perception of the running of the club.
In my opinion, the Chairman (despite running the club to the best of his ability) is not enough of a football man to take NTFC forwards in the long term. I believe that mediocrity is accepted far too easily and that the club doesn't represent the sum total of football as a sport in Northants (like it should)
If it is true that he has ploughed 7 million and counting into the club then it had got to be one of the biggest wastes of money in living memory. I actually feel for the guy.
I also question whether it is sensible to encharge someone who the club is indebted to such a high level to be in charge of the redevelopment of the stadium and worry that NTFC as a whole will be indebted to the chairman for years because of his bankrolling of mainly mediocre footballers.
In this respect I wonder whether if it is better to rip the plaster off sooner rather than later so to speak and ask whether fellow fans think that a new owner/owners will help to put the sport of football first and foremost in Northampton?
p.s this is not an attack on David Cardoza who I believe has done his upmost to bring the club forward only to be let down (in part) by other parties

Um. Not sure there are many local football fanatic millionaires out there that would replace the Cardoza clan and change the direction we're going in.

Maybe things have to get worse before they get better? Maybe we need to look at more fan involvement a la Exeter. Maybe Cardoza needs more help? At the moment it seems as if it very much a them and us scenario with the fans on the outside and just turning up each week. Some change is needed

I became a life member of the supporters trust about 3 or 4 years ago after paying yearly fees. my life member status now entitles me to f*** all. not had a newsletter or any correspondance for years. they got my fee and f***ed me off. bit like the on-line club shop. apart from that and todays performance things aren't too bad. bring on the oxford.

Do you think that a redeveloped ground will suddenly mean that the club is run better?

Relegation out of the football league?? Coz DC will lose a HELL of a lot more money if this happens than when we dropped out of league one. Plus you may as well wave goodbye to the youth team...

Please name, let's say, 20 out of the 44 chairmen in the top 2 tiers of English football who are 'football men'

20??? I think you would struggle to name 10.
Anyway, I find it hard to make the judgement of Sammo, the players or the chairman. You certainly can't blame the ex-managers. Up until 59 minutes on Saturday, we were all happy and this conversation had need not have happened.
It is hard to say how it all went wrong. Nothing was majorly changed prior to them scoring, except for Guinan coming on. You can hardly blame him (as much as we'd love to) because he was not defensive. Sammo went on to make some bizarre substitutions and the defending was poor.
Ok, let's blame Guinan.

Defending starts from the front. McKenzie did that 1st half. Guinan didn't when he came on. He was the most experienced player on the pitch FFS! He should never have came on.....

Totally agree but (although I was being flippant) I wouldn't lay the blame on one man for Saturday. The manager has to take the blame, the players need to take a long hard look at themselves and, as for the chairman, he is trying to run a football club without running at a loss. In football, there are too many people to please and too many that are never pleased, I wouldn't want to do any of the jobs involved there.

People are calling for Sammo's head but the whole scenario is going to be repeated endlessly untill there is a new owner/owners of the club
p.s I'm not Manwork if that comment is aimed at me
