When Wedderburn waddled on, it gave us the answer why he hasn't been in playing instead of Gilly. I thought we had a fitness coach.

I'd rather play a cardboard cutout than Gilly atm.

As much as Gilligan is out of form, I thought Wedderburn was an embarresment when he came on the pitch. He looks to have got bigger since the last time i'd seen him and also much slower.
No doubting the boy has talent but his fitness levels need to improve dramatically, i don't know whats happening with a reserve side but Wedders should be playing at that level until he loses at least a stone.

If Fatty Wedderburn is the only alternative it doesn't take a genius to see why Gilligan starts every week.

Good God. 2 people agree with Sammo reference Gilligan. Im glad though, it provides us with a balanced debate. Gilligan was absolutely useless yesterday and for me his performance was on a par with the worst I have ever seen from a professional footballer. He gave the ball away for goals 3 and 4 - but hey ho, we all have our own opinions!

The point I was trying to make was that Gilly was possibly the best of the chosen midfield excluding Parker and Thornton of course. As for goals given away I was assured by two supporters in front of me that it was Holt and Tozer. However my judgement was blinded by the second half showing and still is. I recommend rubbing Deep Heat on your member - it helps to take your mind off things but two potions maybe needed to ensure success.

Gilligan definitely gave the ball away prior to their 3rd. Wouldn't say the goal was his fault though, he was about 20yards inside their half.

Gilly has been going through the motions with us for years. He was instrumental in the Gray relegation side. Yesterday it summed it up for me when he dithered on the ball for ages with no challenger and then lost possession in a key area.
I don't think it would hurt him or us if he moved on to pastures new

I think the simple answer to that is to accommodate Gilligan in midfield. Re Wedderburn, one can only guess what he has (or not) been doing in training. Finally, re Gilligan its just time for him to go and have his operaion ...............

move Thornton inside, play Jacobs on the left.
Jacobs - Thornton - Osman - Parker

As big a fan of Gilly as I am, that's out strongest midfield atm. I think Gilligan would be a good impact sub, too...

It's quite possibly the strongest midfield, but I'd worry just how much it might restrict Thornton.
