It will be like the last appointment. Nobody had a clue it was going to be ADB. Lets face it this is a tough job now, not sure too many managers have the fight for a relegation battle in them. There is only one man that I can think of!!!!

As you say, they are just fishing around. However, if you had a spare tenner, and put that on Guinan, then those odds would fall a lot.
Thats all it would take, as they work on very fine margins.

If they've only taken £500 on the book a tenner on Guinan would probably make him odds on!

If the kids hadn't fleeced me for Xmas I might have slapped a ton on Guinan (though they'd probably only offer me a tenner at 66/1) just to see the odds tumble and the consequent crazy reaction on here

I appreciate your sentiments with regard to the financial restrictions, but it would be a seriously good chuckle.  Grin

Still waiting for somebody to suggest a 'realistic candidate'!
About 30+ names have been suggested.......I do not envy DC's decision, especially after the last two appointments which were greeted by the vast majority of Cobblers fans as good choices.
If only somebody somewhere had the power of hindsight!

Tough choice to pick a new leader in our position. Head or heart? Short term fix or long term goals? A wily old Mad Dog type or an inexperienced up and comer?

With the redevelopment, and with DC's recent track record of bringing in "big name managers" (despite them not working), we should be able to attract a decent manager, but its all an unknown quantity... theres no guarantees that everything will be fine whoever we bring in... but one things for certain, it has to be the right person first time, otherwise we're in serious trouble.

If any of the following "massively unrealistic/I assume youre taking the piss but can never be sure on here candidates" get the job, I'll kiss Mad Michelle and/or Turbo on the lips on the pitch at half time.

John Hodge
Clarke Carlisle
Ian Atkins
Tim Flowers
Stuart Gray

I'm not so sure a relegation scrap is the ideal time to take a chance on a rookie

Probably needs an experienced campaigner. Like Gary Johnson or Aidy Boothroyd?

What would qualify a 'realistic candidate'?
