I see someone's placed a wager on Iain Dowie. Now evens with one bookie.

If Newport is called off as well will that signal the end of Andy King's short reign ? If they have someone else lined up surely now is the time to get them in and start strengthening the team whilst there is a break in games.

I fancy a decent bet on Gary Mcallister

3/1 on Chris Hargreaves is tempting.

Betvictor are offering very good prices on all the candidates compared with Skybet.

Fickle finger of fate, eh?
Had we played today, played well and won then surely the job would have been King's? Instead, someone else may well get the opportunity. One thing we know, King isn't "lucky".

I heard a very strong rumour that Brian Laws had been approached and was going to be at the game today

Yep you'd have thought that King's chance has all but gone now. With a small shortlist of candidates you wouldn't think it will be long process now to narrow it down to one.

Just out of interest who would be upset if Andy King got it?

Not upset but despite 2 decent away performances (by our current standards) under difficult circumstances it's still 0 goals scored and 1 point from his two games in charge. By no means poor but it's hardly miraculous. It also confuses me that he considers himself to be a football manager but hasn't had that role for the best part of a decade.

Not upset but I'd prefer many of the other names being touted as possible.

He's a manager I'd very much like. Felt he was very harshly sacked at Sc***horpe. Experienced, knows the league and would have good contacts in the game too.

Laws is one the very few mentioned who've lost more than they've won.
Highly experienced manager at this level though

If you are thinking about Brian Laws you might as well stick with Andy King or get Boothroyd back. Their CVs are very similar.

Russell Wilcox is doing a very similar job with Brian Laws team that Kevin Wilson did with Ian Atkins side. Weird isn't it?
