They are saying on the official site that we have sold over 2000 tickets for Portman Road, that suprises me, I hope they are telling the truth.

Does that include the Ipswich fans as well?

We had gone through the 1400 barrier when I bought mine on Friday so 600 non-season ticket holders sounds about right.

Getting mine tomorrow I guess. Along with an Oxford ticket.
If I had anything resembling a life I wouldn't even consider going to either, dreading both games but the sad state of affairs is I have nothing else to do. Team doesn't deserve any support after last week ever again.

Ah, but when we've won both of those games, you'll feel King of the jungle!

Based as I am in Suffolk I thought it might interest some fans to know that Ipswich do not play their full first team in Carling Cup fixtures. They use their reserve keeper, Murphy, and a number of the youngsters who are normally on the bench or in the stiffs. Roy Keane has confirmed that this will be the case next week as well. However, given the Cobblers' injuries and suspensions, heaven knows what sort of a side we will have out there.

They will let loose 17 year old Connor Wickham on us, though. He makes Bayo look petite and Ipswich have already turned down bids of £6 million from Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool for him.

We're going to stuff 'em. We're quality. We're going in the right direction. Plenty of irons in the fire. Sammo has put calls out. We're going to win the cup. And we're going up.

This is a hypothetical question but if the Cobblers were to win one and lose one next week, which would you take as the victory: Ipswich or Gillingham?

I presume it will be Hinton & Hall as centre backs on Tuesday night, unless Holt comes back in and Davis is pushed further upfield. I have a horrible feeling it could be a slaughter.

Ipswich are expecting a crowd of 10,000 on Tuesday night, although the local rag says that Cobblers have sold about 1,000 tickets (not 2,000 as reported on the official website.)

Let's all get there and get right behind the team - it's too big a prize to be ignored.
