That makes sense, although it means that if you are in C or E you will have Ipswich fans in front of you. Of the 8,000 tickets ITFC had sold when I was there today a large % were families with young children, probably choosing Cobblers rather than Millwall (Saturday).

I agree. It is exciting, so we all need to stop moaning for a couple of hours and enjoy this extraordinary adventure once more.

From N'pton the via A14 Thrapston route is roughly the same distance as the via M1 route BUT in both cases the official time is about 2 hrs 30 mins...HOWEVER, having driven both routes in the past a great deal, I'd say that 2hrs 30mins is a good day, and neither route normally has a good day. Worth checking traffic news beflore leaving, and give yourself nearer 3hrs 30 mins.

A14 around Cambridge after 17:00 til 18:30 is a nightmare on most evenings.
Normally if you leave early enough to avoid that you should ok.

Plenty of good Suffolk country pubs. Adnams Broadside will set you up nicely for the match.

I'd avoid Cambridge altogether. If you leave by 3pm you'll be there by 5.

Fantastic understatement from Gareth Wilsher in the Chron today. Talking about the hope that a 3,000 army will converge on Portman Road tomorrow tonight, he made the following confession:“The league has been a bit of a struggle for us this year". Still, I must admit that the thought of a large Cobblers contingent always makes me proud to be a NTFC fan.

So will a pint of Woodfordes Wherry or St Edmunds Ale.

A cobination of having tonsilitus and having £5 to my name will be keeping me away for this one. Could be very interesting as both teams have been losing games for fun as of late.
With the inevitable shocking back four we will have we might aswell go for it , i recon ipswich will score at least 2 so we should just got for it .

I am on the dreaded 2pm-10pm shift today so I will be relying on the club texts to keep up to date with events at Portman Road. However, if its quiet at work I will ask for half a days holiday and put the wireless on at home!
