Anybody else on here would rather, if we could win only one of our next two games, would rather beat Ipswich?

I'd rather we lost every cup game for the next 10 years than drop into the Conference.

Well losing to Gilligham wont mean we'll be relegated but a quarter-final tie in the league cup? Now that is something to lock away in the memory, nevermind the financial implications.

I would rather beat Ipswich.By winning at Ipswich we would raise the profile of the club enormously and possibly make a great deal of money to take the club forward.By winning against Gillingham it will just delay the inevitable.

I think I'd rather beat Gillingham. It'll save the chron printing out any hollow statements about money going towards the team the next day

I think we should use the Ipswich game to give Hinton a run out to prove his fitness. Mind you he might have to play!

If we win at Ipswich maybe we could afford to get rid of Sammo and Crosby.

It has to be the Ipswich game for me. A massive quarter-final tie could transform the finances (eg Arsenal, Newscastle or Man United away or televised at home)

Lose at Ipswich. Winning there will only cover further the much deeper problems.

Wouldn't a Gills win simply do the same thing?!

A win at Ipswich (only remotely possible of course) would bring in money which could have a dramatic effect on our ability to fund some new blood for the league. We are going though an awful time, but I don't see why we should suddenly withdraw our support at the time it is most needed. Ipswich is no great journey, is a great ground and a club with good pedigree. To just not go because we're screwing up the league is to cut off our noses to spite our faces!

I would rather beat Ipswich. The quater finals of a cup competition would be massive. But I say that only because I don't currently beleive we will get relegated. Don't get me wrong, I have not a lot to base that on, but I just don't at the moment, no matter how badly we have played. But if it came directly between the two events at the end of season, I would rather not go down than reach a cup quater final, obviously.
If the players were to put in a real sterling performance at Ipswich, bodies on the line stuff, it would raise serious questions however, about their motivation in the league.

Or it might suggest that we have recruited players more suited to possession football rather than the hurly burly offered in the fourth tier.

The same way the Liverpool money has? Cardoza admitted that the Liverpool money was nowhere near the amount he thought it would be so i cant imagine Ipswich would provide much more in the way of cash. Unless you are talking about a Cobblers win and a potential televised quarter final? We all know that wont happen though, as it gets to this stage the big boys end up being drawn together and its those games that will get the coverage, leaving us with the same sized squad, more injuries and more than likely some more red cards. I havent felt this worried since the season we finished bottom.
