Sorry Marvo but I get the feeling you are a bit bitter that we were second best today.

Connell looks like an improvement on what we had.

The reason why we lost today was entirely down to Duke. It would and should have been 0-0.

We're now in 50/50 land now whatever Wilder achieves. Heads or tails is the way I see it because the sides around us are grabbing points when we are not. Our supply of ball for strikers is pitiful. Yes the windy conditions distorted the game but everything was left too late getting shot of Boothroyd and replacing him. Relegation is staring us down.

We should have sacked Boothroyd after Wembley!

Can you imagine the outrage on here had we done so?

The second goal was Doumbe's fault. He could easily have cleared it but decided to lift his foot over the ball and let it pass him, unfortunately into the net. Unless Duke called for it I don't see how he could be blamed for that one. It was yet another game played in a howling gale, when is this wind going to drop?

You have got to be nuts if you try and judge that as a normal game. The wind made it a farce and it should have been called off i.m.o. How comes if the ball doesn't roll a couple of feet the ref will call it off but if the ball flies 15-20 feet in the wrong direction that is acceptable?

It would be pathetic to call a game off because of wind, unless it was dangerous.

That "game" today was equally pathetic.

maybe so but unless the wind had ceased completely for the 2nd half we can't complain about the conditions or try to blame them

No, I blame Duke for the loss.
Simplistic , there were lots of other factors not least of which was our inability to threaten their goal.
I blame the whole team.

doesnt change that we had 2 shots on target all match. we should have been bombarding that goal in the 2nd half, not pissing about trying to get on showboating with flicks and backheels

The reason why we lost was Dukes fault. Simples.

The reason why we didn't win was the entire teams fault. Because we didn't score or look like scoring. Simples.
