My 'mugs' comment was aimed at people who think the club's identity and relationship with supporters is based on who serves you the ****eing food, what a load of rubbish!

I very rarely, if ever, eat in a football ground, simply because it tastes like sh*t. If NTFC moved it in-house, giving better quality at a more reasonable price, I'd buy it. But they haven't so I won't. The club clearly preferred to outsource as it provided a better income stream, and now they've signed a ten year deal that certainly wont change!

Don't you need to start talking bollocks about random pubs you visited in the mid nineties or something? Been about three days since your last post of that nature Roll Eyes
That last sentence perfectly sums up what an absolute twat you are! Were you at Cheltenham last week?

I'm always amazed at the length of the queues at half time, who eats at quarter to four any other day of the week - or half eight on weekdays?

Forget about what happens on the pitch, for me DC's priorities number one, two and three should be to sort out the catering. We are the laughing stock of football. I won't be going again until I can pick up a half decent lobster Thermidor for less than two quid.

With red or brown sauce?  Cool

We are bottom of the league. Let's not pretend that "what happens on the pitch" has taken preference.

I arrive at the ground at around 2.45, and buy a hot drink and a programme if they haven't sold out. That's the only money that NTFC sees from me other than my season ticket.

I can't say I find the prospect of eating any of the food particularly appealing, and I haven't set foot in the club shop for years. Last time I was in there they had about 10 replica shirts and a few key rings, I think.

Massive queues of 100s and 100s of people at the kiosks at the ground and, what, 20 or 30 people whinging about it on here...

What does this tell you about how representative this forum is of the consensus view of your average Cobblers fan?

Toilet was shut in the North Stand today, flooded.

That puts the trickle in Somerset into perspective.

It tells me it's very representative. It's not 20 or 30. It's about 4-5 that do the rounds every few months or so with the food and drink whining. So put that into to the context of the amount of members and I'd say it's a very good representation.

What it does highlight more than anything is that moaning on here changes fcuk all. But some of us already knew that.

So most don't give a flying f*** then

I think that tells you that people are hungry and since they can't leave the ground during the game they reluctantly buy something. Loads of complaints about the pricing from people in the queues.

Oh yeah St Edondsbury the pies are £3.00 not £2.50 nearly a third of what is costs to buy a ticket for top class Bundesliga games.

The whole "match day experience" at Sixfields is cack.

Fair point, but last time I went to a top Bundesliga game it took me f***ing ages to get home.

Mind you it was in Hamburg.

Cost you more than 3 quid to get to Germany.  Secondly, a bloke that was with our group who went to Sixfields for the first time rated his pie at 7/10, thirdly there was a constantly long queue at HT for the North Stand food outlet, so it can't be that bad.

This is exactly the point that some are trying to make.

We had a thread a short while back, where there was moaning at the size of the queues at the kiosks. Yet some on here are arguing about maximising revenue. At the same time there was a load of moaning about the queues at Carrs bar. Yet a couple of people want real ale.

Will the penny ever drop that they are seeing a good return, without any capital outlay or HR concerns. It works for NTFC, but It doesn't work for me so I don't bother with it. That's because I'm sharp enough to realise that nothing will change until the kiosks and bars are empty.

Don't mind the odd Bovril though.......  Grin

Can I meet you?

That's the kind of patronising comment (I'm being polite here) that makes you a complete...
There's obviously more than a 'couple' that want real ale (I've been with quite a few today)...given Carr's Bar in their pathetic short sightedness run out of their single barrel every home game by 2pm!

I bought a coffee yesterday and it seemed to have no coffee in it. How do you get that wrong? I thought those cardboard cup things came 'pre-packed' with the coffee in already...?

Regarding the real ale. I think it was the Trust who sorted it so really they should be the ones to answer that query. Is it that hard to buy two barrels?

If I could buy two barrels, Boothroyd would get both of them, right between the eyes.

The problem with buying 2 barrels is that they think they won't sell them both and will finish up throwing half of it away. Therefore they play on the safe side and order 1 , which they know they will sell. This could change under the new Centerplate deal because they should be running a seven days a week operation ,not 1 game a fortnight
