A view from the east

We can have no effect on what happens elsewhere now anyway so its best to concentrate on our own efforts. We need the team that turned up at Daggers to perform on saturday and not the one that had their noses rubbed in it by Bury. Time to be aggressive and go for the win.

OK they have won their last two scoring 5 goals in the process is that a random stat or a fact, would a team winning their last two games point to them being on something of a losing streak? Wycombe haven't won in four conceding six and scoring two is that a random stat or a fact, does that look like a team on a winning run?
I would say they are both facts and random stats but the best word is probably trivia. Another bit of trivia is we failed to score in the two games before D&R with a draw and loss and yet somehow managed to score 3 at that game. We scored as many goals at D&R as we did in the rest of April. Giles Brandreth eat your heart out.

I would go as far as saying that if we don't lose to Oxford we will remain a league club.

And then there were three!! Just to tidy up the permutations and possibilities for next Saturday.......if Wycombe don't win they are down. If they do win and Bristol Rovers and us take a point or three then they are still down. However, if they win and Rovers lose whilst we avoid defeat then Rovers will be down on goal difference. And of course if Wycombe win and we lose it doesn't matter what Rovers do (unless they lose by eight) as it is us who will be down!!
Odds to go down..(SkyBet).... Wycombe 1/6, Cobblers 11/2, Bristol Rovers 9/1

I like the bit where their new manager talks about a losing mentality at the club and things have to change. There wasn't a losing mentality there a few months ago so would suggest the manager is helping himself get sacked 😀
