If we go down, any remaining faith I have in the chairman will be severely tested as will my willingness to put time and money into attending matches.

Considering what has happened over the past few months, I find that statement astonishing.

Sure, things haven't worked out as well as he had hoped but if you think ANY other chairman in our division would have gone to the lengths Cardoza has in an attempt to avoid relegation then you're sadly deluded.

I also think that saying that you wont "put time and money" into the club says all people need to know.

Time for a reality check people. If we pay less, then the club pay less and inevitably the squad will be poorer and the chances of us ever getting out of this downward spiral will lesson bit by bit. I thank god we have Cardoza, had we had virtually anybody else since Christmas we'd be down now, of that I have no doubt.

Ah, the dreaded vote of confidence.  He'll be leaving the club in no time.

According to this the most expensive ticket price in the Conference is £19 for a seat at Aldershot. If we went down and started charging £22 it would be plain stupid.

This has to be balanced against the standard of footballer we would expect the club to employ/retain to 'ensure' an immediate return to league status if the unthinkable/possible happens.
Retaining our current prices in the short term may be a necessity to provide us with the best opportunity especially if the away support in the conference, as anticipated/predicted, drops off.

I'll still get a season ticket and my three mates who I go with have said the same. If we go down, it'll be all part of the adventure that is supporting Northampton Town FC.

I'd probably still go to most home and away games. I've had a season ticket for 20 or so years but in the scenario where we go down, I'd only invest in a season ticket again next season if there was a big saving to be had.

I'll probably pop over to Hitchin, St Albans or Berkhamstead when we draw them in the fa trophy.

Whilst reading the various new topics it seems..,
A the much trumpeted redevelopment seems to have hit a snag/being downsized/on hold/not going ahead (I've no idea if true I'm just reading the forum, however I don't think it's started yet).
B there are no plans in place for season tickets next year yet(no idea if true, for all I know they may be on sale,no I won't be getting one before anyone asks).

If this is the state of play right now it doesn't look good.
You can spin it all you like but it doesn't seem like progress to me.

I was going to go on Saturday, I'm not now.

Call me fickle or whatever you want but I spend over £50 getting to home games and haven't seen us win since the play-offs v Cheltenham.

I haven't seen a goal from open play since 2013.

Every time I see us play I leave angry at best and just listening tonight nearly had me in tears.

It doesn't take much for me to want to go to games but where the hell is the positive shred to cling to?
