An email has just thudded into my Inbox with the details of prices etc for next season which will, apparently, be 'far more enjoyable and successful' than this one!

What do folks reckon?

Buy now and never mind where we are come the summer?

Wait and see?

The Club must be 'avin a larf?

This shouldn't have been sent out on 1st April?

Do I want to pay any money to or even go and watch a Cardoza run club anymore. Tough question.

It's the funniest April fool I've seen this year (or probably any year).

Someone at Sixfields clearly has a wicked sense of humour.

For a few minutes I thought they were serious.

I'm not sure if it is possible for us NOT to have a "far more enjoyable and successful" season next time round.

Wait and see. If we go down I'm not renewing, certainly not at those prices anyway. A lot of away games won't actually work out that much more expensive in the Conference, even including travel, and they're generally a much better experience than home games anyway.

I am assuming that they forgot to put "These prices will be reviewed in the event of relegation" because they aint gonna sell many Conference tickets at those prices !

On the contrary, they put 'these prices will apply regardless of which division we are in', or words to that effect.

IF we go down then of course the prices will need to go up to balance the books.
Attendancies will drop but by making sure that the diehards pay the extra it will help.
I am however a bit surprised after being told of the stadiums potential to pull in extra revenue what with it being able to pull in the cash seven days a week once redeveloped Roll Eyes
It does seem to me though and it's only my opinion that despite the proposed redevelopment the club are worried that it may not bring in the extra revenue required seven days a week hence the increase in season ticket prices.
I may well be wrong and it might just be down to the club envisaging a lack of income with all that relegation entails.
Either way I think relegation would have a very bad effect on the club redevelopment or not.
I'd love to be proved wrong though, starting with staying in the football league.

Not sure I follow your logic there. If that's right, then presumably if we were (ever) promoted, prices should drop because attendances would rise.

Something not quite right there  Wink

I haven't had the email yet (I am a season ticket holder) so I'm not aware of the price increases over this season but I'm surprised anyone thought prices might reduce If we get relegated. The only information I have is the 249 quid north stand price- which still strikes me as a very good deal.

Until I know what division we're playing in next season, it's difficult to contemplate renewing. If we're safe by the deadline I'll renew. Ironically, If we're relegated before the deadline I might get one in the North for £249. I won't be going to many games otherwise based on the pricing structure and deadlines.

I'll be getting one, probably in the North Stand though for £249.

Division shouldn't really matter should it? Still our club...

Now I've had time to reflect a bit more, I'll probably do the same instead of renewing the west. I think generally football at our level is overpriced and its probably the only season ticket that offers genuine value for money regardless of the division.

My stance is a little complicated. Because if we go down next season I would be more interested in the away games.

Also I just cannot stomach watching a mid table or lower conference team under the current regime (I include both the board and the manager) trying to hoof its way to a 1-0 win every week and spending the last 10 minutes playing the ball into the corners, week in week out at home at a sterile and largely unfilled Sixfields. Redevelopment or not.

NTFC needs re-branding, whatever happens. And Im not talking about producing a silly new badge. Im talking about the whole marketing 'thing', the ethos of the club.

My plan is to see this season out...Im going to all of the remaining 6 matches...and then take stock. For me its not about the investment of money, its about the investment of time. So for the time being I will not be renewing. Im not saying I won't come June or July but the club needs to take a completely different direction for me to go down the season ticket route again, otherwise I will just end up seeing what occurs come August and taking in some of the more entertaining away games. Regardless of what division we are in.

I'll be getting a season ticket. Might move out of the North, haven't made my mind up yet. If we do go down and want to bounce staright back up, I can't see as cutting our income is going to help.
