Simple. Shoot when reasonable likelihood of forcing a save with forwards following up. Wingers trying to get to the byline before crossing unless decent pass on.Don't overplay it. Defenders concentrate on defending and taking row z option when needed.

I'm with Marvo. Let Gilligan have his operation. Train with Johnno in the centre of midfield (like Gray did with Jacko and Crowe) and Johnno can fill in should Osman or Weddurburn be injured.
I think Gilligan should be placed in a peripheral position such as right midfield because he isnt consistent enough to play in the middle
