My 15 year old got frustrated with Sinclair yesterday for not running into the space was quite interesting to hear him say "I'd do this" or "I'd do that" but that said Sinclair is still a good player it's just not working for him for various reasons at the minute.

with Tozer in the side, we should be a threat from set pieces. Heres hoping!

Beginning to think this might be the way to go. This side is not going to suddenly start creating lots of chances from open play now, maybe it might be best to concentrate on set pieces, get the likes of Langmead, Diamond and Doumbe in the side and pretty much get Tozer hurling it into the box at every opportunity. It wouldn't be pretty but might be effective.

Same old same old. The lack of any potent goal threat may yet see us relegated. I commented before kick off that I could see us drawing every remaining game this season (which won't be enough).
I'd still be inclined to play Hackett as part of a front two, with Connell in behind. At least his ability to run at people might earn us a few pens. Undecided

As for today: If Bristol and Hartlepool pick up wins it'll be a fooking disaster, and even draws wouldn't do us much good. If they both lose, and with Wycombe soon to play Bristol, then I'll be feeling more perky. Fingers crossed Lips Sealed

Just to point out, it wasn't "wrongly disallowed" the man who knocked the ball back in to the 6yard box was offside when the free-kick was taken. If this game wasn't in league 2, the opposition manager would find himself in hot water for his post match comments about the lino.

Just to point out, it wasn't "wrongly disavowed" the man who knocked the ball back in to the 6yard box was offside when the free-kick was taken. If this game wasn't in league 2, the opposition manager would find himself in hot water for his post match comments about the lino.

Agreed.

Just as an aside. What was Henning Wehn doing there?

He wasn't the only comedian in the house. I noticed a certain Mr Turley warming up our keepers.

Is there a team in the League that cheat more than Wycombe? Going down and rolling around at the slightest touch and hounding the ref. How can Marquis get booked for something that is not even given as a foul ? Both the ref and lino indicated a goal kick ,the Wycombe players surround the ref ,so he books Marquis !!!

I'd put them on a par with burton, both teams are a disgrace and burton have been like it wherever they are in the league so part of their dna

Sine I posted, I saw the you tube video earlier, watched it about 6 times...froze the screen...and yep, realised it was the right decision.

It all happened so quick...and to be fair, an absolutely fantastic call from the linesman. Their manager will be feeling a bit silly now for sure!

He is the goalkeeping coach, why wouldn't he?

You are wrong, as soon as Matt Duke played the ball onto the post and then a second phase the player was onside as he wasn't involved in the initial phase of play.  The player who put the ball into the net was also not offside, being played onside by Robertson.
The AR was flagging for the second not the first player offside as well.
As I said before, we were fortunate, however the records will say that the match was drawn 1-1.

That is interesting what you've said there, because I honestly am not certain of the rules in this instance! I did wonder but assumed that he was offside.

Free kick gets taken...guy is in offside position..keeper saves it and ball goes to chap who was originally offside...

Surely thats still off side? !

The best thing about the disallowed goal (apart from saving us from defeat) was seeing some of their fans run on to the pitch, then realise it hadn't counted. Made me chuckle.

this is at odds with the still picture on WW site clearly showing Johnstone off side. Cant understand what the problem is. Furthermore the more informed on WW site said it was off side too. Still think it was a good call! and the lino flag went up immediately too.

I stand corrected and apologise. Johnson was not in an offside position when Duke touched the ball onto the post however he was in an offside position which subsequently enabled him to gain an advantage, when it was last touched by his own team mate (the taker of the free kick), therefore he was offside.   Embarrassed

What a shambles from the WW ticketing office yesterday! Having being told, at 10.15, that there were 200 tickets at the cash turnstile for the Dream Stand and a further 80+ tickets remaining in the Main Stand, I travelled from Gloucester arriving around 12.30. At 1.15 we were intially informed by the stewards that there were no cash turnstile tickets - they eventually relented and said 50 could enter although they were concerned about safety. Fortunately, I was one of the first in the queue, however, it appeared that the Dream Stand may have been oversubscribed judging by the numbers standing in the aisles! Also, why did they change from reserved to unreserved seating?
