Made available for loan/transfer according to JL.
Got a feeling we're not going to recover much of our supposed 6-figure transfer fee for him....
For the record, I don't think he was a bad signing. At the time we had our back against the wall and desperately needed a forward player to shake up our attack. His 2 goals against Torquay played a huge part in keeping us in the football league. There's a talented player in there somewhere.

If he was to move out straight away would that make him one of/ if not the, shortest permanent signing ever. July 1st only eight weeks ago ?

You can't knock him,he was brought in to help keep us in the league, put in a shift and scored a few important goals. Fact is if he hadn't we could well be where bristol rovers are now!! If he isn't going to play regularly he deserves to be at a club where he can. I'm sure he will be a regular goalscorer elsewhere as he has a very similar profile to izale McLeod who is now scoring in league one. Good luck to him and rather than knock him let's pause and think where we may have ended up if we hadn't of signed him.

I think a few of you are overstating the impact he made last year - 2 (important) goals against a very weak Torquay side we're all that he managed to produce in half a season. We stayed up in spite of him rather than because of him. An 18 year old newbie contributed more in 2 games.
The more poignant question is where would we have been without Marquis?
As for Sinclair, good riddance.

Nonsense - of course you can knock him - he wasn't very good. Best you can say is that maybe it wasn't his fault that we wasted money on him! You're also being unfair to McLeod who did have some excellent times at MK.

The point is that he and Connell signed for us at a time when very few players would. Their signing gave the club a lift at a very bleak time. Whether you think they contributed or not, our results improved massively almost immediately after they both joined the club. We could almost certainly sign a better player than Sinclair today but at that particular moment players weren't exactly queuing up to join a club exiting the football league. He and Connell inadvertently contributed more to the club in 15 minutes at Torquay than the vast majority of players to wear the shirt over the last 10 years. Nobody is suggesting he should win Ballon d'Or. I'm pleased to see him move on as I acknowledge we could do better now but he certainly has my respect.

I think this was very big of Wilder, Signed him for 3 years but he's done nothing this season, he did get a couple of good goals and that helpred us to stay up. At least Wilder has the 'were with all' to admit that he was wrong. Well done Chris.

yep. well done. You've signed somebody on a 3yr deal and decided to get rid before he's even kicked a ball as an NTFC employee. I imagine there's a bottle of bubbly coming from the chairman tomorrow morning.

Signed a 2 year deal in the summer, following a loan spell at the end of last season from Crawley.

Its ok though as we have loads of goals in Rico and er, Toney and Moyo. Emile will probably go somewhere on loan and get a hatful while we pay most of his wages. Good business.

There's 80 goals in this team. Drilling told us.
Sorry, 77. We've scored 3. Or is it 74? Because of the Wolves game. Do cup matches count? What were his rules? Does the bye in the Johnstone Paint change things? Confusing isn't it?

Agree with all of that. Marquis was brilliant and without him we wouldn't have stayed up, i'm convinced of that.

What is it about not being allowed to criticise footballers!? In what other highly paid, high profile job - and that's still what being a L2 footballer is compared with what most of us do - do you get to do your job badly in public and expect not to get criticised by the people that effects - the club and fans? Emile may well be a lovely chap who's kind to children and animals, but he wasn't a very good footballer when we really needed one. It's not unreasonable to point that out, given that his wages were mostly paid by our ticket money.
