John Joe O'Toole anyone?

He's still got over two years left in his contract with Rovers and is apparently on a massive wage. I wonder if they can afford to keep him in the conference - or if he is prepared to play at that level?

Danny N'Guessan released by Swindon. Someone for Doumbe to have a chat with?
Him and Toney could scare the daylights out of L2 defences.

I think one of the fans ran onto the pitch and slapped him on Saturday ... so I'd imagine he won't wanna stick around!

By all accounts O'Toole has a serious attitude problem and thinks he's far too good for this level. There are also question marks about his overall play.

On the other hand, you can't argue with 13 goals from midfield for a relegated side. If Wilder thought he could tame his ego without destablising the dressing room, then I wouldn't be adverse to us signing him. In all likelihood though he'll either go back to League One or end up somewhere like Portsmouth.

Bristol Rovers didn't think O'Toole was their best player. You can score a few goals from midfield and not be a worldy (See Gilligan).

O'Toole certainly not popular with his team mates either.

There might be a couple of fourth division defenders being released by Liverpool in the summer?   Tongue

That has to be the biggest bulls*it post I've ever read in my life!! I would be more than happy for you to take constable off our hands but I can guarantee he will never sign for wilder unless you are offering silly money. In fact I can guarantee that wilder wouldn't go near him as he never rated him and tried to sell him on a couple of occasions only for constable to turn down Bournemouth and sc*mdon! I can see the likes of raynes, wright, potter and hall ending up at you place, good luck to them and to yourselves next season, I believe you will do well

He did also say that he wasn't going to raid Oxford for his old players. But that might have been just in January - I think all bets are off now with the season ending and some of them out of contract. As for Constable - well, we do need a couple of strikers - our period when Marquis was recalled was not great. But I'm not sure Constable is the answer, and as you and Oxford1 have intimated, there may be a bit of previous between him and CW.

Im not sure if he is still under contract, but I have always been impressed by Jack Redshaw when he plays.
