Cresswell looks excellent on paper but his signing raises a few questions.
1. Does this mean that DC is having a 'real go' this season? Surely we must have a top 5/6 budget now.
2. What does this mean for Langmead and Collins? How long is Collins going to be out for? Are we planning to play Collins as a left back? Or are we going to go with three centre backs, in which case won't that neutralise the attacking threat from Mohammed and Hackett?
3. As others have said, why has Cresswell made so few appearances for Fleetwood?
4. We all know that the main weakness this season has been right back. How will this signing help us in that area?
Anyway, the main thing is that we are undoubtedly stronger than we were this time last week. This shows commendable ambition on the part of DC and augurs well for the future.
Tozer seems to be a good right back, very noticeable when he came on against Wolves. plus his long throw which led to our goal.

Tozer(spelt with a Z thank goodness) has played pretty well at right back. One of the few players who immerged with any credit after the Bournemouth game. On this showing we don't need a RB - we need more firepower at the moment.

Realise and realize are different spellings of the same word, and both are used to varying degrees throughout the English-speaking world. Realize is the preferred spelling in American and Canadian English, and realise is preferred outside North America. The spelling distinction extends to all derivatives of the verb, including realised/realized, realising/realizing, and realisation/realization. Although realize is now regarded by many in the U.K. and Australasia as the American spelling, it is not an Americanism. In fact, the -ize spelling variant is older than -ise—realize predates the United States and Canada by nearly two centuries—and has been the preferred spelling throughout most of the word’s history in English. If we can believe the ngram below, which graphs the use of realize and realise in British books and journals published between 1800 and 2000, realise had a brief ascendancy in British English from the late 19th century through the early 20th, but realize was preferred before around 1875 and is again preferred today—perhaps because of the influence of dictionaries like Oxford, Cambridge, and Collins, which encourage -ize over -ise.

Great signing , Ryan Cresswell, what quality centre backs we've now got, will chip in with a few goals too .....like the goal he scored against us for Sarfend.
I see a future Captain here.

I think some folk need to understand the concept of competition for places.
If a player who is better than what you already have becomes available, it's sensible to sign them. Cresswell is significantly better than Doumbe.
The local Fleetwood press have basically said he left Fleetwood for 'non-football reasons' - the guy as a big personality and character, something their young manager couldn't cope with.
Langmead, Diamond, Cresswell and Collins will have to compete for 2/3 spots in the side.

Both spellings are used in British English. The Oxford Dictionary, The Times family of newspapers, the Oxford University Press and most other academic publishers prefer -ize. Popular newspapers and oinks prefer -ise. '-ise is probably the more widely used form. So when you RVSP to the Queen best to use -ize. regards

Don't be surprised to see Collins back at right back when everyone's fit.

Not that I remember. Think there once was talk of him playing left back, but can't remember him there either. I think Anthony Charles took the spot.

Collins definitely played left back when Widdowson was injured. I think people presumed because he was good there, he could play RB with his natural foot.

Released more players before end of season Demon/Platt/ROD etc
Releasing contracted playerts is not cheap, it involves paying off some if not all of their remaining contract.
