I'm no Bayo fan - I think he blew a good career in football thanks to his obsession with body building, but apparently he did have a good game today

He's looked bigger before. The Bayo bashing is bizarre. He's been great for us over the years and now he's another club's player. Let it go, perhaps....?

I accept he's gone and not coming back to us but I don't get the malice directed towards him. I'm not knocking our current strike force (I think they'll get goals but probably spread about between them) but I wouldn't be at all surprised if his individual goal tally is higher than any one of our strikers come the end of the season, regardless of his size.

It's easy to understand. The malicious ones are simple minded idiots; the same ones who turned on Scott McGleish, for example. Now he's definitely not coming back they can still spout the bile as it makes them feel better.

"Andrew Ellis was very much against what was going on. The Cardozas were strictly about business and development so that was him out the door. Andrew Ellis was only ever a football man."
*****And he appointed Terry Fenwick*****

Agreed, there are far too many single minded idiots not just using this message board but running it...

In years to come, Bayo will be universally regarded as one of our most successful forward signings in recent history. He will be up there with Jamie Forrester and Scott McGliesh. But his NTFC journey needed to end at some point and we are past that point. I for one can't wait to welcome him back to Sixfields and will give him the great reception he deserves, but that doesn't mean we should want him back.
I think we are long past the point where we should look for him to come back, but that doesn't mean we should forget what a great player he was for us. We have moved on, he has moved on, but I think the mutual appreciation for each other will be there for years to come.

Two names there who are not fit to lace the big man's boots. 0.37 and 0.35 goals per game verses 0.42. Most of us will be lucky to see such a prolific striker 'fill' the claret shirt ever again in 168 appearances. We're gonna need to make sure it's a big legends lounge. ....and please no one mention David Seal, possibly the most over rated striker ever. Those claret tinted specs can work wonders at times.

Thats my point, I think pretty much all teyn fans would look back on JF and SMc as top players for us, and Bayo's record as you point out is better. In time there will be no haters, and we will remember him for the great goal scorer he was for us.

The intelligent amongst you may have worked out it was more of a dig at our fans who constantly hanker after signing former players rather than anything against Bayo, who I was a huge fan of while he was here. The rest of you, well it clearly went over your heads
