Just curious (and too lazy to do any research myself) - are there any Northampton Town connections with this year's World Cup? I think it's safe to say they'd be tenuous links - maybe the odd Bosnian who once played on loan for someone at Sixfields, or maybe someone whose club we faced in a cup a few seasons ago, or something like that. Any ideas?

Rickie Lamberts played and scored against us. Kyle Walker could have gone.

Frank Lampard, Christiano Ronaldo and Diego Forlan have all been lucky enough to play at Sixfields.

And we beat the current England manager a few years ago Wink

Yeah Ron-Robert Zieler who played two games for us is in the Germany squad, but he's the number 2 keeper, he's being kept out of the team by Chris Dunn Manuel Neuer.

I would say that some of the World Cup grounds were not finished on time but we already have 114 pages on that. It is also not a fact, yet.

Cobblers fan Tom Rostance is doing all of the big matches for the World Cup BBC live text updates, including the England/Italy game tonight:

He also does most of the Prem live texts during the regular season.
