What happened to the "local " fixtures around Christmas Huh? Carlisle A , Bury H , and Tranmere A. Considering half the teams we play are within 100 miles of Northampton you would have thought we could have had better.

It seems the fixture list isn't the only topic off limits.
The first rule of the ground redevelopment........
Retired as the most commented topic in THE history. Granted, a lot of circular conversations but there needs to be a thread for one of the most important and relevant topics in the clubs history.
Maybe another when it's completed in August.  Tongue Wink

Anyway, England....... Roll Eyes

"A lot of circular conversations". That has to win an award for the understatement of the year... There was ONLY circular conversation. Anyway. I asked for opinion...got it and re- opened it..  Grin

I just thought you were sulking about England  Grin

I see we all need to leave town early on oct 25 to get to Luton as Peterborough will want the town all for them selves..

If you look at the fixtures over Xmas most clubs have local ish games. Cambridge have Stevenage & Southend ,Southend's other game is Dagenham , Dagenham's other game is Stevenage,Luton have Wycombe , Cheltenham have Newport. All those are local

Have the Saints given us their approval on our fixture list yet?

I'm really p*ssed off that Cambridge has been switched to a Friday , what do NTFC gain from this ? On a Saturday I recon we would have taken between 1200-1500 over there , Friday night will half of that. Was really looking forward to going to both Oxford and Cambridge for a good day out in the city then on to the match now both of them are down the pan  Angry

It's Cambridge that will lose out financially by us not turning up in thousands.

I know that, but we have to agree to the match being changed and I can't see any benefit whatsoever for us to change it, we will just have less fans at the match which , surely , will be a help to Cambridge.

Not a good idea.

How do you work that out? Rochdale and Fleetwood are now a league higher and they have s*** away support.

We've filled CUFC's away end on a Tuesday night, so a Friday will be no different.

We've had this argument about does the number of fans make any difference numerous times , with Fleetwood maybe their team was better so they didn't need a big support from their fans? Do you really think we will take as many on a Friday as we would have done on a Saturday, I would have been taking a coach load for a Saturday match ,with it being Friday I recon about 20 of those will go , with the afore mentioned A14 traffic .

I can only assume that the Saturday is an international day with England playing? I haven't looked but I know we've switched games before because of that.

I'm a big fan of whoever came up with the idea of bringing the game forward to the Friday night. Brilliant. Thanks.
