CW has just all but confirmed that Nicholls will be back for Tuesday.

Good news. We could have done with him today - would have been a much better replacement for K-Mo or D'ath

Why didn't this happen last week? I reckon we'd be 4th in the table rather than 6th.

The Exeter fans are delirious. I hope he gets a start next week, I bet he hopes so too or won't be very chuffed.

Welcome back alex. I read some posts on an ecfc site yesterday and all wanted him to sign on, obviously playing well and most reckoned he was responsible for their upturn in fortunes. Happy days, CW time for a longer contract me thinks.

Sorry, it's the lowest form of wit. They want to sign him in January.

I'm amazed he's come back considering some of the experts on here were so so sure he wasn't in Wilder's plans what so ever.

I never read one comment saying that.. But just on the off chance that I might have missed it. Are you sure that you want us to believe that you rate this forum so highly, that you believe that Alex Nicholls bases his future career on our utterances??
All Wolvo is saying is that a lot on here were commenting on the likelihood that Alex would sign for Exeter or for someone else even though Wilder had never said anything to suggest that he would not come back to us. FACT. Not suggesting that Alex bases his career on this forum, just that we sometimes go into discussions far away from substance, like Toney after a dozen decent games being hailed as the next superstar.

Is anyone aware of how Exeter used him to such great effect?

If you want a FACT.

Alex Nichols is contracted to us until the end of the year. He can then do whatever he bloody well likes. He'll probably be offered something by Exeter and hopefully he'll also be offered something by us. He may even be touted about by his agent and be offered something from somebody else. The one thing you can be sure of is it will be Alex Nichols decision where he ends up playing in the new year.

^^^ what he said.
An injury prompted his recall.
January is crunch time and he won't be too happy as a bit part role, which may influence who he signs for.

I remember the manager said, '' he can move in and out of midfield to great effect,. so perhaps that's how they used him, bursting from midfield and moving up front and visa versa.

What inspiration    for badly injured player's he has been, to come back as he has, he has a hell of a spirit. With a little more concentration and that will come.  he would have scored against Portsmouth, the Northampton  fan's behind the goal would have lifted the roof off! It will come and he will soon get a goal, fan's wont want to sit down! When it happens Alex enjoy it, you deserve no less.

Looked a bit out of sync with the rest of the team on Saturday but definitely doesn't lack fitness.
