Ive gone for playoffs, although I was very tempted to go with Auto's. Can just see us being very tough to beat. Have a lot of experience in the squad to go with good depth. Im looking at other squads and other than Burys, Shrewsburys and perhaps Pompey Im not overly concerned.
One thing is for certain it will be a damn sight better than last season!

Relegation dog fight. Just how I like it. Obviously with us staying up on the last day.
Is this the return of Marc MW ?

Not unless he's had a dramatic upturn in positivity. This is way too optimistic for him. 6th to 10th for me. I think there will be the usual cash-rich clubs which will take the top 2 spots, and unfortunately we're not there (yet).

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible c***’... me!

Most teams are much if a muchness, I'll go play offs, Shrewsbury winners, Luton, Bury & Carlisle promoted with Exeter and Accrington relegated.

I've gone mid table I think we will be pretty tight at the back. If we can start scoring goals I think we could challenge the top 7.

Automatic promotion. This is a top notch squad which is a targetman away from being one of the best for many seasons. We have so many options. Pace and quality down the flanks and full backs who can deliver a decent ball. Experience at the back with centre halfs who can score from set pieces. An experienced goalkeeper. Many options and experience in the centre of midfield plus a touch of class as well. A proven goalscorer in Richards,a decent young prospect in toney,a fully fit emile sinclair who I believe will definately look the part this season and Alex nicholls if he returns to anything like his old form(I hope so). We also have a massive weapon with the Ben throwzer which other sides will not have and will not enjoy defending. A decent target man to cause havoc from corners/throwzers etc is all that's required to give us a full deck of cards in my opinion. I realise a fringe player or two may need to be released to bring in a decent target man but I think it's worth doing. The answer is who do you move out to allow a targetman to be financed?? I can't really think of anyone who needs to be moved on and that can only be a good thing.

Shoemaker, I haven't got the best of memories but I would say this is the best overall squad we have had for at least a decade.

I've gone all out for automatic promotion as well. I am very optimistic with good reasoning. Last pre-season I feared the worst and the worst very nearly happened. Ironically though I actually predicted a 6th place finish in my fanzine article (stupidity obviously took over when I started writing).

Looking at the predictions thus far I have no doubt in assuming that Northampton bookmakers tills have been as busy as a public privy door when the plague is in town. 20-1 seems like very good odds on a nailed on promotion 10-1 on relegation to cheer a few of you up.

I think we have the POTENTIAL to finish pretty much anywhere in the top half of the table but it's hard to predict where.
Keeping my feet on the ground I'll predict an 8th to 12th place finish which would be a good step forwards.

After this great start to pre season, I'd be disappointed if we didn't finish in the playoffs. Must have a little bit left in the budget to play around with the loan system during the season as well.
