I agree, he reminded me a bit of Razor/Sammo but with a touch of the class Paul Reid had. Shame he left on a sour note. inexperience? Not sure how many games he's played but I dont think its that many

If Tozer came back, I'd be really tempted to go 3-4-1-2 using Johnson and Davis as wingbacks.

I think osman and wedderburn should be automatically our centre midfield 2, they looked pretty solid and physically imposing on Saturday.

With regard to the centre back debate... Hall did have a good game at CB, played OK at Ipswich also. However, I'd be very wary of using him there on a regular basis. It's not his position and errors will creep in, that may/may not get punished. He hasn't got the pace to control the quicker lads, but will do fine against target men of this league.

I'm unsure why people think we don't need a CB? We need a striker as much as a CB IMO, maybe a CM (but not a priority). We've kept 2 league clean sheets this season, and this is probably testament to the sheer amount of partnerships we've had. Beckwith/Holt, Tozer/Holt, Harris/Holt, Hall/Hinton, Hall/Beckwith, Hall/Johnson... it is clear we need a settled twosome that can slot in every week. Sure, injuries and suspensions have contributed.

Look at last November/December... Swailes/Kanyuka etc etc. It was a conveyor belt. As soon as Hinton/Beckwith struck up that partnership we were away, got a rhythm/understanding and the defence once again became a strength. We need to find that certain partnership again, and currently with Hinton injured, Holt now seemingly not the answer and Hall stepping in as a replacement, an outside signing - medium with a view to long term - is needed to steady it. We have the full backs to complement - Johnson/Hall/Davis/Rodgers, all decent enough in L2, all with strengths/weaknesses.

Whether that CB is Tozer or some other signing, we have to go down that route, and I'm sure Sammo is looking/deliberating.

The three being Tozer, Hall and Beckwith (in that order?)
