I think his rise is brilliant and feel proud that he’s from the town. He clearly must have worked very hard and has bulked up considerably.
Say what you want about the P*sh but they know how to develop talent and get value from a player. Newcastle must be regretting it the most.
I really hope he gets a chance to shine in the Prem and who knows, he could become another ex-Cobblers international.

One plus point (I know some would consider there aren't many) about KT's tenure is at least we managed to get a million for Charlie Goode.

And £500k if Brentford get promotion. I agree totally with the point about Toney bulking up massively since he left us - it’s something I’ve been banging on about for years.  I don’t see why Premiership and Championship clubs should be so different to us in terms of sports science and weight programs - McWilliams for one just hasn’t developed body shape wise over the past few years, he still looks lightweight to me and the first thing a Championship club would do if they signed him would be to build him up.

The Toney fee is always going to be a bit of a rogue figure as it happened while Cardoza was in his exit strategy from the club. He was going to take whatever he could get.

Toney was still a teenager when he left us. His development wont just have come out of the gym. For every Ronaldo there's a Messi. You dont have to be big to play football
