Title: Tickets
Post by: Coolcat on July 14, 2021, 15:24:33 pm
Port Vale tickets only available from next week, according to the sales' office.

Wondering what the situation/allocation will be for Coventry City.

Allocation will be enough for all that want to go to be able to.

All restrictions lifted so no issues there  :)

Port Vale have sold around 900 tickets - as of yesterday, season ticket holders only I believe.
Another 400 go on general sale from August 2nd.

As much as I don’t like Port Vale it’ll be good to have a decent away following to add to the atmosphere.
I love a party with a bit of atmosphere.

I know that optimism is always prey to disappointment. But I’m looking forward to it. Decent away following, new season, Brady's team… What could possibly go wrong 🤔🤔

When was the last season when we won the first game, I can remember Carr’s team 5-0 at Chester.

Without looking I wouldn’t have a clue mate. But you know as well as I do, this dream team and background set up is destined for glory.

I hear the champagne and open top bus is provisionally booked already…. To hell with it. I’ve gone for a bumper bag of party poppers from B&M..

Also haven't checked, but remember winning at Gillingham 3-2, first day of the season back around 92 time. Then travelled back down there three days later for the LC 1st leg.

Something more recent surely?

Did we win 4-2 at home, about ten to  15 years ago?

We beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 at the Mem on the first day of the 2015/16 glory season. JJOT scored

I remember a Neil Grayson hatrick helped us to a 4-1 opening day win over Bury in 95/96

Macclesfield at home 0-0 was worst first game of the season. Ball was off the pitch more than it was on. Nothing happened.

Come on Coolie how could you forget that win at Br Rovers when JJOT (2015/16) scored at the popular home end. A real up and at 'em winner by JJOT.

Yes, already answered! Also that day, little Rovers kid ran into my cigarette outside the Wellington pub on Gloucester Road.

Was also at the 4-1 opener versus Bury back in 95.
We had a good relationship with Bury lads at the time (related to Shrewsbury away 93). Remember now, one of them more or less in tears that his gran was dying!  :'(

Worth the various pods and other social media outlets pushing a #selloutsixfields or #bringamate type scheme?

Tickets sales seem a bit lacklustre judging from the official site

We'll be ramping it up next week with a lot of content coming everyone's way.
I'm sure the club will start pushing it once the last friendly is out the way too. Could do with winning that one though to help attract those who may still be on a downer after last season.

On a serious note it will be interesting to see what attendances are like. Many people (me included) are not yet ready to be in amongst thousands of people shoulder to shoulder.

Good thinking.
We should all buy tickets for the home end when we visit them and learn them some more. Such a small ground would probably sell it out. Villa got nothing on us.
