For a newbie and anyone else for that matter, it's an interesting and helpful post. We do seem to have a lot of strikers for a club that can't score goals but maybe that's the reason. Thanks tactics.
There are 7 strikers there...three are loanees, one is long-term injured and two have suffered injury problems this season. That leaves....erm....Ivan Toney!! If we could get one or two of our own strikers who could have a long run in the team together, build up an understanding of each other, then I think we'd score a few more goals!

It is a possibility, but you would get bloody long odds on it happening! IF we managed a little run of 4 or 5 wins on the spin in the next few weeks, then ask the question again!
33/1 with Bet365 to make the play-offs if anyone fancies a flutter!! 100/30 to go down with the same bookmakers.

As Drilling says, 50+ points from here till the end of the season is a real long shot. And also, as said above, half the team is made up of loanees, none of whom are on season-long loans. I think we can take it as red that we wont get Dallas, Norris or Blyth, McLeods wages would bust the bank (apparently) if we made him permanent, Ravenhill looks a possibility so what sort of team will we have by the middle of January? Will we be back to square one with the Deegans, Emertons, Carthorses and Heaths? I guess its about getting as many points on the board in the next 6 weeks as we can, and then see what we need, either to survive or to make a push for the play-offs. In either of those scenarios I could see the purse strings being loosened, but if we are 16th/17th by then it will probably be a remainder of the season consolidating before the next summer arrives.

A dongs fan I spoke to earlier said he was 'useless and lazy' but hey, let's not slaughter him just yet, fresh start and all that. I'm more excited him arriving than I was for the unknowns such as Blyth, Norris and Dallas.

If hes cup tied, he wont be at Grimsby.
He is as he played against Halifax scoring twice. Being as Norris wasn't allowed to play against BS either it looks like Blyth and Platt against the Mariners.

Glad he's gone....if he hadn't we probably wouldn't have brought in McLeod as we would have then had 6 loanees, and we can only name 5 in a match day 18.

Maybe it is with a view to a permanent transfer out in January, but in the meantime I'm sure Col U will be paying a percentage of his wages so it makes for good business sense in the current climate.

The headline to that story is "Cobblers skipper Langmead set to miss entire season"
A further line is “But that has cost him in terms of his time out and it may well be the whole season now."
So when Aidy hoped for November, then changed it to January and now says "February or March at the absolute earliest" I for one would be surprised to see him again this season.

McAnthony vented his frustration on Twitter after Tuesday nights loss to Brentford...their 5th in a row. Wholesale changes to the team may give Ferdinand a chance of a run-out with them at home to Wolves on Saturday.
