It looked to all intent and purpose a 0-0 result! We did not play badly but the second half only came alive after their scruffy goal. We were ponderous in build up and lacking in movement and aggressive intent up front. One renowned punter on here suggested that ‘Pool were a slick moving side and we could suffer a heavy home defeat. As it happened this never materialised. For a side chasing the playoffs Blackpool looked anything but……! Can only hope that the energy pro active intent returns at Wycombe!

The new colour Hotel End scheme certainly works well for; can actually see 'Reply' at the bottom banner. As for the game was impressed by the turnout of 1068 who remained in 'action' for most of the game but without the high intensity shown at London Rd. Understandably the dreadful display against Peterborough weighed heavily on all present and when Cambridge executed perfectly a Peterborough type goal with winger flashing a hard centre and well put away by a lurking yellow shirted forward with minimum of fuss. For me despair now set in but apart from a rasping drive which somehow failed to trouble Moulden or even the woodwork. I was sitting next to Barry of the Redevelopment Thread who kept reminding me 'if we get to half-time only one down, all might be ok'. Have no idea what JB said to the team at half time but as the 2nd half progressed we became the dominant team; Cambridge as an attacking force had all but disappeared. Bowie was playing like a man possessed and the introduction of Appere helped the 'force' too. Eventually we scored from a set piece corner with the admirable Guthrie predictably with a thumping header. All square and so it ended a game of two half's. What I found extraordinary was the stats on the game - really worth a look chaps! The sheer exaltation on the equalizer seemed to banish the horrors of last Tuesday evening. Pity Hoskins was subbed but was the correct decision. Well done JBrady and the team for an entertaining 2nd half and recovering all our Mojo's and proving the team has still got its will to win or at least try too.

I suppose the same could be levelled at you Evers regarding excessive posts on the same subject………… ……
Precisely and point taken. Apologies to MC for misplaced comments. Clearly time to take a rethink and may take a few days! In the meantime can all members keep up their unflinching support of the Cobblers!

You're right in one respect Marvo, exceptional is not the right word. However, I'd say resource wise Brady is at the bargain basement end. I'm pretty sure players like Taylor, Gabbiadini, Forrester, Smith, etc. Were (comparatively) far more "marquee" than anything Brady has. Even the likes of Kirk, McGleish and so on required more investment than Brady has been supported with.
I'd say Brady is doing a solid job position wise. We'd all have taken where we are now back in August, more so back in September after a less than great start.
I don't know the facts but resigning Leonard and Bowie must have incurred some considerable investment?

Everybody is allowed an opinion. On team, manager, chairman, etc, etc. But what you do is say what you "think" someone else is alluding to without ever having any proof whatsoever. I've asked you this before, yet to get an answer. What are these people you accuse supposed to gain? What are they after? You say they have an agenda, what is that agenda? What are they trying to achieve?
Your accusation that people were rejoicing at the Cobblers getting beaten at Peterborough is absolute drivel. No Cobblers supporter would do that, how could they because if they did, they wouldn't be a Cobblers supporter now would they?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are nothing but a s*** stirrer.
Thanks for your comments Marvo, again I have no personal enmity whatsoever; some of your posts are interesting not only for me but many others too. I prefer not to share personal insults with you. That's all!

So you can't then, point out the Cobblers fans you referred to as enjoying being beaten by Peterborough?
In my opinion when a poster raises 27 basically repetitive posts on the poor display in less than 24 hrs from end of match, some of which in my opinion were of a negative nature. Also there was an inferred criticism of Brady and also from you; and this on a Manager by common consent has done a good job in getting us into the top half of the table. Furthermore some appear to have an personal agenda on the team, Hoskins, the Club as a whole and the Manager. Last nights regrettable defeat proved an ideal opportunity for some to voice their opinion. Of course they are entitled to their opinion we all are, including mine. I watched some of the disastrous results in the now Premier League, the equally disastrous games in our final season in the now Championship and above all the morale sapping tactics of Curle so perhaps I am used to the ups and downs. If you and Carton are not able to recognize 27 messages on the same game so be it.

The issue he had last night was that Hoskins was providing no cover. For two of their goals Hoskins man simply ran past him.
That was explained on here that Hoskins was played as an attacker! As OAP suggests best not to play Brough other than an orthodox left full back where he has to make the attempt to mark the winger!

Play Monthe at the back because he's done ok? Did you see him give the ball to them twice with square balls. He's a liability at times. I'd play Moore ahead of Monthe or just bring in a natural right back in Lintott.
That great tackle by Monte followed by a sweeping square pass to a blue shirt left me in despair. PS The Chron's Player rating today makes very painful reading indeed. Would like to hear Heneghan's private thoughts on the game!!

Attendance: 9,028 with 1,674 of us. Thanks to the Highways Agency closures on the M1 and M25, necessitating tours of both Milton Keynes and Hounslow respectively, I finally got home at 0300hrs... Incidentally the stewards gave up on guiding fans to their seats and there appeared to be more than the quoted 1674 present.

?? Don't think there's been any over reactions on here, just a few realistic observations. Two or three on here seemed to be enjoying the defeat with numerous comments on here. Surely you must have read them?

Evers, we are allowed to criticise the team for a poor performance and boy was that a poor performance, no one came out of the game with any credit so no one deserved the man of the match award. The fans who went however played a blinder which is why I gave it to them. I don't understand this Balding thing though.
The only positive I can take from last night was that we appeared to not pick up any new injuries.
You should know by now who the KJ are . Some of them were all over the Nene thread like a rash! These fans, only a select few ? Some of your criticism is not correct as I strongly criticised the performance of the midfield! The only plus from last night was the attitude of the fans which was excellent!. As Appéré carried the fight to the Posh or at least he tried to?

Knee jerk 😂😂😂 So it’s a crime to be pisśed off because you were hammered by the “mighty” Peterborough.
They were a different class and we had no answer. McWilliams, Sowerby and even Leonard were poor. For once Guthrie and Sherring were made to look very ordinary. Brady fielded his best midfield and they let themselves and Brady down. The fans were magnificent. I see the usual suspects are lining up to criticise the team and Brady! Not so long ago you were full of praise for team and Manager. Peterborough have been our bogey team for 65 years only Bowen silenced them with a similar win back in the mid 60’s!
