21  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Fleetwood away 13/04/24 on: April 13, 2024, 18:55:42 pm
I'm as disappointed as the next person about today’s result. But if anyone had said at the start of the season, that we will go out with a whimper, after comfortably securing league one status, all of us would have taken it. A poor performance does not reflect the entire season, no more than an excellent one does.

For my part, I was going to go today, but changed my mind at the last minute, and decided to go out for a spin on the bike and get a nice “salad” from the Super Sausage at Potterspury. I have to say I made the right choice.

As I said a few weeks back. My focus is on next season now. And anyone who says they know what that brings. Is simply a liar.. So let’s see.

Thank you GPC. Another top preview.

Still on the fence with this one. One foot in the…. go for it and travel. One foot in the ifollow/masters golf settee mode.

Nothing to play for. Unless your them….. Then, we are the potential judge, jury and executioner…… Not used to this relaxed state of mind.

I wonder if a prayer room might be a good addition to the East stand? 😉

Multi Faith, of course.

as Grove pointed out, you would have thought that the plans would have been done, considering all the delays we've had.

I doubt they haven't got a working plan of what they want. And possibly have for quite some time. But it is still up to them when they choose to show their hand.

Who knows... It might not even be them who orchestrate and oversee the building.

The irony is that bad things are much more likely to occur to you or affect you if you have a negative mindset, exacerbating the negativity further. That means, as those people get older, it just gets worse and worse, and much more unbareable for anyone in contact with them - so try not to allow yourself to fall in to the trap.

I've spent the last few years ridding my life from as many of these types as possible. In some moments of weaknesss I will engage through frustration, but generally I just ignore/avoid. They are like poison and will only bring you down. Find people that lift you up and you yourself won't become a Beds/DC/Manny and have a much happier life.

Don't worry about things that don't really matter, or things you have no control over and you will be much more content and at peace with the world. Namaste.

Never a truer word mate. Very little of what people worry about ever comes true.

Have you heard the lies and misrepresented comments coming from KT over these past few years?

I have noticed that he is very economical in terms of what he divulges. But I can only recall one thing that might be interpreted as a lie. Namely the early completion of the East stand. But I'm sure he would, or does, offer up an explanation around that. Perhaps you would like to substantiate your assertion that he is a liar, with some evidence. Or are you lying?

In terms of him mentioning the JR. Well... You can bet your sorry @rse he will use that to bolster his point, and reinforce his counter claim to your view. I can't even imagine the noise that would have come from you, had he lost the JR. I don't doubt the level of satisfaction and how vindicated he must feel, to know that the authorities have ruled in favour of endorsing his actions. I can understand why that would sit very uncomfortably for you and your bosses. Because it doesn't fit into the agenda that you and a few others peddle.

As I have said before. It's time for you and the rest of the Trust board to considerer the way forward for you all. Personally, I stand by my point, that you should all go. But if you refuse to do so, you need to stop running around like some errant schoolboy, whipping up disdain and peddling rumours. Clearly the current climate is not welcoming of yours, and your bosses raison d'être. People want to move on. None of us know if it will end well or not. But try for a short while, to take your foot off the gas, and play nicely. Truth be known, it looks like it has all become far too all consuming for you and your mates.

He managed Luton for a while as well, around the time Steve Howard signed for them if I remember correctly

I'm sure he was sacked from Luton by Cardozas chief exec in some shady goings on. Peter Miller, wasn’t it?

Koiki. Even if he’d been on for 30 seconds when he scored that blinder…

What a classic

It was exactly what I would expect from us this stage of the season. And in the position we’re in. A decent enough job done for all the points. Well done to Brady and the lads.
