We played ok 1st half, Saka was excellent and Grealish also played well, but that second half was dire. We will need to up our game massively against France, Germany or Portugal.

Just dull. Ive never been less interested in not only international but top end Premiership football, do you get extra points now for completed passes in your own half? Give me league two any day!
Looking forward to Hartlepool v Torquay tomorrow. Proper football.
I agree about the Hartlepool v Torquay game, I love watching the National League games on BT. The only downside is that they always have Adam Virgo commentating and I can't stand him, he is just so boring.

I am against 'taking the knee' and think it's well past it's sell by date and needs to stop. Once the fans are back in the grounds in large numbers the booing will only increase. If Gareth Southgate thinks it's not a political gesture the mans deluded.
I noticed last season sometimes the Cobblers did it and sometimes not, anyone know why?

Scotland should have won, they were the better ream. Why he took Foden off when clearly it should have been Mount only Southgate knows. Grealish needs to start the next game.

I have just renewed my season ticket for next season. Like most people I didn't see a single game last year but at the Senior price of £280.00 in the West Stand and last years free access to ifollow for home games it was a net loss of £2.17 per game for me which I will happily risk again next season if we get shut out again.

I made a last minute decision to watch this game, except the first two minutes (to avoid any knee bending bollocks), and I thought Chelsea were far and away the better side on the night. I was looking around for a Man City striker and then I saw De Bruyne (who had a mare before he was injured) appearing to play centre forward, what the hell was that all about. The commentators (if you can call Hoddle a commentator) were talking about a false 9, I can't be doing with all these modern 'tactics', pockets is another word I hate, football is a simple game, just score more goals and you win, there is too much science involved for me. Anyway Chelsea had the best player on the pitch in Kante , he was just phenomenal and you have to love the joy on Havertz face, although he may get a fine for his swear word. Well done Chelsea, City need some new players, although to be fair that is the only time I have seen them play this season as I don't watch the PL.
BT showed a documentary of George Best after the game. What a player he was , just ran at defenders and caused havoc , he didn't bother with tactics, just did what he thought was Best. The greatest player ever for me.

Watched him play for Villa 18's against Liverpool 18's tonight in the FA Youth Cup Final and he looked bloody good. He played 20 mins for Villa's first team against Spurs last night as well and he played the full game tonight. He has already played for England under 18's. Villa deservedly won 2-1.
If Caleb turns out to be as good as him we have a real prospect on our hands.

Long time no see.
I think the most important signing for us is going to be the goalkeeper, who was the last dependable one we had? Who would be available and decent for L2?
I don't think we will see any strikers in unless some move on, think Chuk should be starting every game at L2 level if he is still with us.
On the current squad, is this what we have at the moment?
GK: Woods (Academy)
Defenders: Harriman, Bolger (Maybe gone), Horsfall, Mills, Dyche, Flanagan
Midfielders: Sowerby, McWilliams, Cross
Forwards: Hoskins, Chuk, Rose, Smith, BAS
Don't we still have Dylan Berry as a goalkeeper, he was the choice ahead of Woods before he got injured.

With Jon Brady being Australian I hope he's watching the Australian A league games on BT as there are some cracking players out there, and not just the British ones. It's easily the equivalent of League 1 and a lot of the Championship clubs. There are only 12 teams and any one of the goalkeepers would be good enough for us. As for a striker, Jamie Maclaren has scored 50 goals in 54 appearances for Melbourne City (owned by the City Group) including 5 in one game against Melbourne Victory. He had previously scored 40 in 53 for Brisbane Roar and 9 in 27 during a spell on loan at Hibs. The Aussie stats are out of date as well as he has scored a total of 101 goals down there. The problem is Man City would probably have first dibs on him as they did with Aaron Mooy and he would probably cost several million. Anyway I can dream.
