I think this points won and goals scored with Hoskins in or out of the team is becoming a bit irrelevant as it is open to different interpretations. The Oxford and Charlton games will go down as 2 draws and 2 points gained because Hoskins was not in the starting 11 but if he had not come off the bench and influenced the game to set up our equalizers both games would have been losses so you could argue that both of these games should be put in the "Hoskins in" bracket with 2 points gained. However, as he played less than half of each game the 2 points gained may have been 6 if he had played from the start so people will take which ever view suits their opinion of the player.
Hypothetically we could be losing 0-2 with 15 minutes to play but then Hoskins comes on and scores a hat trick and we win 3-2 but because he was not in the starting 11 under the interpretation being administered the game would be logged as 3 points gained without him which is ridiculous.
To counter this opinion, we have absolutely no idea how it would have panned out had he not come on, he looked to be struggling a bit towards the end

Thought we were poor yesterday apart from the last 20 mins, Pinnock was dreadful, why oh why did we take Simpson and Bowie off so early? Appere looks way out of his depth at this level. Anyone listen to radio Numpty and Sherring interview? Looks like we will need another Center half.
I'd want to leave as a player to avoid oglethorpe and his pathetic questions

Fair result, their goal was offside imo. Hondermark gets better, dunno where mom came from, Guthrie or sherring I thought. Could do with Leonard on Tuesday he'd be a big miss. Nice to see such a big crowd again, let's hope the extra takings go towards some new contracts

Tend to agree with man work here, I certainly don't think the land deal hasn't been in the best interests of the council tax payers of Northampton first and foremost, and I certainly don't think it's been done in the best interests of NTFC. Let's just stay adequate

Season ticket holder now for donkeys, peaked at every game home and away during Calder woods promotion year. Used to travel all the time on the cisc. Anything between 0 and 6 away now, (we are not all retired and can afford to go every week, I sometimes play golf instead. I'm sorry if this disappoints some but most away games now I watch on fire stick, sometimes in an armchair.

Good result considering how we performed, sluggish, Brough pinnock and Bowie well off the pace, great to see mcwilliams back,. I'd like to see springett given a run in the side, but I suspect hoskins will be shoed back in,. Great support, I'd hate to see Oxford support if they were midtable, shocking effort on their part

You get a better view of the highlights granted - not the game as a whole. Literally you can't see the whole pitch, just what the shoddy camerman captures, thus you don't see the whole picture!
Certainly, and the missed point from so many of the armchair fans (who incidentally, if proclaiming to be Man Utd or Liverpool fans, would get universally roasted!) was actually being there last night. The noise and support, incredible - given a largely defensive performance! As an aside to the above, as commented already elsewhere, wish the kids would cut the pathetically, childish, non-league/Bournemouth fans adi adi adio sh*te... utterly embarrassing!

That's an interesting one. Jon Brady has no league manager track record so he's going to live or die by how he does with the opportunity he got presented with by the Cobblers. He's obviously doing a great job and please let that continue. CC leaving put a question mark against the future as I suspect many thought he was the power behind the throne. CC has practically a flawless record with Southampton since he joined them so there's no doubting his ability but it's great that JB has also flourished since he left. There's bound to be a time when things aren't going so well but let's hope the collective remember the good times and don't cry for change just for the sake of change.
I spoke to Colin the other week , he said he was delighted that Jon Brady has continued to do well now hed left , Colin is confident in bradys ability, and didnt want people to think he was the driving force

Yes I agree Marvo, it’s like Tel said it’s because Hoskins has become greedy, as all good strikers are, he gets his head down and shoots on sight. Hoskins for me isn’t a natural footballer and doesn’t see the picture on the pitch and that’s why we play better football without the little scamp.
I think hes always been greedy , its just that his shooting ability has improved no end (a lot of thanks go to rico) his confidence is up so he shoots on sight , we seem to move the ball around and quicker without him too, now every passage of play doesnt have to go via him.

Brough going forward is OK, defensively he’s a disaster, he was again today, AK is a much better player.
I think Brough has done ok this year, if he was any good he wouldnt be here he does get forward well, yesterday , goal ,assist and hit the bar says that if needed he could probably play further forward, hes certainly better when we are pressing and not under the cosh. Willis was great at right back yesterday btw

I am just enjoying watching them play, Leonard is one of the best players I’ve seen in the claret and white his last few performances have been sublime. As for Bowie, I actually think he’s one we could possibly get, top end L1 bottom end Champ striker, love his tenacity would love to keep them both One I would like us to sign is Tyreece Simpson he’s a rough diamond and it would benefit him and us on a two year deal, with Jon working his magic. The ovation Simpson got yesterday when he was subbed , was worlds away from before xmas , i wanted him gone, hes proved what he can do , fair play to him
