Hands Up! I'm a Labour voter Don't mean I agree with every thing the party says and doesn't mean I always disagree with the Tories. Labour are a joke at the moment and Corbyn should never have been near the leadership. You don't follow your rebels! The Party and the Unions can proudly point to their creation of the NHS, Welfare State, paid sick leave, paid holidays and workers pensions, I can only dream of a return to that type of thinking As for the Way Forward for the Cobblers, I back the Brady bunch and new club structure. We have to try something new because the old ways have failed time and time again. How long we give it is a hard one but let's all try and be patient. Agree with your last paragraph - we have to hold our nerve with JB. As to your hopes for a better future ... What’s so special about you? Just embrace the self serving, lies, flag waving, forlock tugging world that we now live in and be thankful that our leader is such a fun person to go for a drink with. Leave all this fluffy thinking behind you my friend. As long as my betters tell me what to think I don’t have a problem - why do you?

Pleased as punch. As others have said - we’ll know if JB is going to be sacked by Christmas by the quality of the recruits he signs up in June / July. Let no one be in any doubt - this current squad is not capable of a top half finish in Div 2. You go Brady Bunch - make us proud!

Well, he did that with us as well with Crooks, Van Veen and Turnbull. Just contrasting how completely and utterly awful his time was with us, compared to how well it works in Burton. Much like Gary Johnson, amazing jobs are certain clubs, absolutely catastrophe here!
Hasselbaink has basically relegated us from League 1 on two different occasions now, once from being god awful, once from being fantastic.
Pissed me off massively when JFH was on TV last week saying how proud he was that he didn’t have a relegation on his mgmt CV!! Delusional or what??

To backtrack a bit, to earlier comments about attracting 4000 people to put forward £1000 for a takeover, how about looking towards a Trust led crowdfunding type exercise to secure land and build a training base?
Trust owned, rented to NTFC on a peppercorn basis, with grounds keeping and agreed levels of maintenance also the club's responsibilities?
The fans then have contributed an infrastructure upgrade, allowing for (hopefully) better players and performance levels, and the owners (hopefully) then concentrate on stadium matters.
I have no idea of the cost if I am honest, but wouldn't have thought that it would get anywhere near to 4 million?
Sound idea. And a constructive suggestion not just a personal dig or an impossible dream. That said, I’m guessing ground and facilities may well be in the millions!!?

How about we draw a line under the past and put our best foot forward for the sake of the future of the club? I’m game and I reckon everyone else would be too. This forum and the Trust is chockablock full of decent people who care about the club? All that is needed is for people to put their personal feelings and agendas to one side and work for the collective decision? It cant be that hard surely. The tools are all available, whether you use the ones offered or elsewhere, they are inexpensive, quick and simple to use?

On line abuse is in the headlines this week so I’m not going to weigh in.
That said .... don’t think Mitchell is that awful it’s just that normally sides have another half decent keeper on the bench to keep their number one sharp. We’ve had nothing for months so no matter how many awful games he has he was always on next weeks team sheet. I think the poor lads confidence needed a bit of protection. All that said, I don’t want to see him back for next season. A year loaned out into the Conference might see his confidence back?
Even with all the moans that Mitch attracts it doesn’t need a brain surgeon to conclude that he’s not the reason we’ve been demoted after one season - look at the goals for column and then look at how many goals have been from “strikers”? With one half decent striker in the side we would have finished several places above the drop and all Mitch’s errors would have been forgotten!
Sorry, which is pretty much what others have said! I must read other posts before I post!!!

You are indeed correct Jim, but I don’t count this season as it’s been “virtual”. I have been a season ticket holder since the raffle tickets for the hotel end, whilst I support the club and have poured god knows how much into it over the years the under funding of basically everything coupled with the broken promises is enough for me. I’m not saying I won’t attend, the thought of Barrow at home on a Tuesday isn’t that appealing TBH.
I know what you mean Manny but at the moment the thought of any home game gets my juices flowing! Love Tuesday night games as well - even against Barrow! Gunna miss all those juicy local derbys though - no Franchise, no Poxford, no Pish to look forward too! ( that’s assuming we go down which I am now resigned to).

slightly contradicted yourself with that last comment
See what you mean - didn’t mean to. Just meant that I’m lucky and haven’t been adversely affected financially by COVID. So, it’s a no brainer for me to “support” the club I love. Others who are not so lucky clearly have better uses for their £300.

I will be renewing my ST and haven’t asked for a refund. I thought that’s what supporters did? No judging from me though - times are financially tough for a lot of folks. Family always trumps NTFC - only thing that does though!

Won’t be renewing my ST, I wouldn’t mind if Thomas invested in the team or the stadium but he doesn’t. I’ll give it a miss till he’s gone, will attend the odd game.
You didn’t have a ST this season did you Manny?

After watching Swindon’s performance against MK this morning, any lingering hope I had of survival has just disappeared. As always, failure leading to lessons learnt can be a powerful motivator. The big question is, have KT and JB learnt enough from the fiasco that is this season to give us a fighting chance next year in Div 4?

I agree that Smith has been a disappointment but I for one was happy when we signed him as he looked pretty useful against us and played pretty well for Macclesfield that season. Don't really see the point in vilifying the player; how many players leave the club and go onto better things? As Brady appears to be a good coach and prefers a passing game he just might get some joy out of Smithy?
+1 And he looked excellent when he played against us that season. Harry is a confidence striker. When it’s low he’s awful. When it’s high he’s capable of disrupting division 4 defences and finding the net regularly. Brady is the sort of manager who will keep his confidence levels high - as long as he keeps well clear of thehotelend!!!

Mitchell and Edmundson!!! I’m afraid they should be playing Town League football. They are not good enough for Div 2. JB needs to smell that particular mug of coffee before they get off the M25 tonight!
