Nothing much new

But more in the open now.
143  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: All Redevelopment/Takeover Stuff on: October 27, 2015, 14:47:31 pm
Whats the point of that comment?
In the moments of doom and gloom, some one has a sense of humor..
Something you will never have numbnuts..
So disappear off to Franchise FC, a marriage made in heaven for both of you
Im sure the club and the rest of us can do without your pathetic stance and snide comments..

If in doubt start a poll..

Henley Homes CG LTD, has Fred Done listed as a director.

145  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: CDNL Hearing Thread - 22/10 on: October 22, 2015, 11:03:49 am
Kelvin Thomas was used by previous owners of Torquay to oversea a proposed take over in 2014.
Its possible DC is employing him as an advisor to find some escape route.

Henley Homes ...Hmm...Fred Done of Betfred is listed as a co director.
But there are a fair few Henley Homes registered at Companies House, although they do appear to have a certain number of individuals from South Asia that appear as directors in a large number of them, including liquidated ones..

As for blaming the council FFS, who does he think is listening to his whining..

Time for change
146  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: October 15, 2015, 16:23:16 pm

Canadian immigration info..

There are many reasons we may not let you into Canada, such as:

you are a security risk,
you have committed human or international rights violations,
you have been convicted of a crime, or you have committed an act outside Canada that would be a crime,
you have ties to organized crime,
you have a serious health problem,
you have a serious financial problem,
you lied in your application or in an interview,
you do not meet the conditions in Canada’s immigration law, or
one of your family members is not allowed into Canada.

Hmmm let me think..
147  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Softening the blow on: October 15, 2015, 15:53:27 pm
VC Bet were the first today to slash our relegation odds from 25's to 8's this morning after the news, to be followed by all the major bookies through the day with prices from 7's to 16's.

If the worst happens- I will give some to the trust and have a warm holiday and buy a season ticket for next season..and get pissed on the change..for a year  Embarrassed

Heard a rumor some guy was seen in town with a large Tesco bag of £50's entering a bookies looking for a good price, anyone know him?  Grin
148  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: BBC Northampton - 5PM on: September 08, 2015, 18:00:30 pm
Did it come across as a Trust protest and that they had had enough, or did I hear wrong.. Shocked
149  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Protest on: September 06, 2015, 10:39:27 am
Should be outside Sixfields, where by folks dont enter the ground until say 3:10, this will be mentioned more on TV by the lack of fans inside at KO.
No reason to go over the top, just something small and subtle, that gains media attention. Then questions will be asked and more publicity generated.
The match with Oxford, perhaps to soon, but would give time to spread the word, the match with Leyton Orient could be more high profile if they are at the top of the league. This would also give the club adequate time to respond over the growing concerns about the situation.
150  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: September 06, 2015, 10:25:00 am
I sit just in front of DC and we managed to see a heading on one of their sheets, they were the anti doping squad. I think a couple of our defenders might have failed yesterday  Smiley

Phew, Smith was OK in goal then.. Wink
151  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Latest rumour? on: September 06, 2015, 08:27:26 am
I did hear last night that the takeover is off, not from a reliable source just gossip really.
If it's bucket time again doubt I will hand any money over, it's either give it direct to the club (Cardoza) or give it to the trust. I don't fancy either option.

Food parcels for the players then, based on a performance scale: MOM gets the best.. Roll Eyes
152  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Big Dave on: September 05, 2015, 16:51:58 pm
No sign of big Dave today however there were four Asians in the directors box today. Who knows if they were the "consortium" or not.

May just have noticed some empty seats and took advantage...
153  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Daggers (h) Match Thread - 5 Sep 15 on: September 05, 2015, 16:00:39 pm
Will Wilder be allowed 10 or 20 games to sort this out?, or do we just drift into lower mid table with one eye on the trap door.  Undecided

154  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Cobblers players that were worth paying to watch at Sixfields on: September 03, 2015, 12:33:17 pm

John Hodges (But only for 45Mins, that last appearance solo goal was awsome)
Jamie Forester (Amazing signing by Wilson at the end of the season, should have done similar last season and got Jamie Curiton in on loan)
Marco G (Clever player always suspended for Xmas Fixtures)
Smith - (when fit)
155  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Will we ever be a big club? on: September 03, 2015, 12:21:27 pm
Fair amount of utter tosh there!

The truth hurts does it?

We are still lucky to be in the league on the last few seasons performance's.

To climb the leagues we require the following,

Money (Euro Millions Winner Preferred for each season)
Manager who is loyal (Like Eddie Howe)
Home grown players (Can league 2 rejects actually change into Maradona's)
 Attendance (7K home games)

No doubt IF ever we made the Championship, it would have been renamed Premier 2 to keep TV money to the elite clubs, with certain ground capacity rules.
156  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Will we ever be a big club? on: September 03, 2015, 11:46:23 am
We'll most likely be a small club on the edge of a big housing estate some day...

Would it be appropriate to include a free 10 year season ticket in the east stand on new purchases to boost the crowds?  Grin
157  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Will we ever be a big club? on: September 01, 2015, 07:06:44 am
The 'potential' of the Cobblers support has always been that it is the county team. Therefore besides Northamptons 250,000 population you have another 250,000 + to tap into from Wellingborough, Kettering, Daventry, plus original MK population (25 years ago 25% of season tickets had MK postcodes!).
Our group of season ticket holders travel from, Luton, Wellingborough, Nottingham, MK, Rushden.........ironically not one lives in Northampton!
I fear for our immediate future if the takeover fails to happen BUT if half the rumours are true of the consortiums plans then we have half a chance of sustaining Championship/ top of League 1 football with 10K+ crowds................I've nothing left to cross!

Where the hell are the new fans coming from?.
Cram them into an unfinished ground, expand the away end?
The day Franchise FC moved in to the area, that was us done for.
Before they arrived, this was one of the largest catchment areas for a single team..Now look...Franchise have large stadium, more publicity and more money...

We are where we are because thats our level, we could have a larger ground 20K, then we all have 4 seats each. Look at Darlington, big ground, then finished.

Unless we get a sugar daddy then thats it, Oh wait...did we not have the chance some years ago, before Diamonds were formed, what was that guys name...Griggs or something..
158  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Argyle Match Thread - 22 Aug 15 on: August 23, 2015, 12:22:25 pm
A goal last week against Exeter should have been the spark, but was dropped next game, as was O Toole after Bristol Rovers

Is there something to note here? Don't score if you want to play...

Last season was his most productive for years, 1 goal in 2 games, 2003-5 its was about 1 goal in 4 games.

Life time average approx 1 in 3...he just had a good season last year.

159  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hes selling yee ha on: June 29, 2015, 16:58:58 pm
MK will get to the prem because they have the backing to do it.
When they do they will be better supported than Wimbledon ever were.
The FA cannot be blamed for NTFC not having the backing to be successful.

Too All:

My Major point is that it should have be  stopped at START.
Ok Mr poster enjoy your time at Franchise Fc in the Prem.

The FA can be blamed for allowing a one off change..one timer...fkk us

160  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Hes selling yee ha on: June 29, 2015, 16:52:17 pm
Why is it the FA/FL's fault that DC and NTFC as a whole failed to react accordingly to a major competitor to our fan base landing on our doorstep?

Because only a few cared...and knew the end result would be NTFC, reduced catchment area, so fewer fans. Better Football?
We have had 3 wembley gigs,
First 2 very good, last one...err very poor, all gone to Franchise Fc?

You guys choose..basic maths we lose they go Franchise fc.
Dont want argue...just have open discussion here..Or do you have webbed toes?
