It isn't any better than Hoskins and Smith. Apart from Grimsby Bogle has been an expensive failure at two clubs sonner Oxford than us! Matty Taylor is now nearly 40yrs!
Oh Evers... That was a joke, right? (Two Matty Taylors, there's only...)

A check of the Lactics forum confirms he was the one out of contract player they wanted to keep (76% did). Prone to a mistake and not really kicked on as they hoped, but seems he turned in a masterclass vs Fulham. One or two commented that he was played too far forward this season, as his strength is in a more defensive midfield role, which is presumably exactly what we want... Younger McCormack.

Why do people think Goode will be off to Derby or Wednesday? You know, the two clubs that really can't spend any more money right now. That stupid rumour site could have at least done some research.
Plus, is he really in that class? Wayne Rooney, Barry Bannan, Curtis Davies, Dominic Iorfa... Charlie Goode. If I were Gary Monk and assuming I'd ever even heard of Charlie Goode, personally I'd want to see how he goes in L1 first, whilst worrying that I can't spend any money but currently have only ONE striker (who no longer scores) on the books for next season.

Admittedly I appear to be on my own, but I thought we were a bit unlucky. Not enough quality, but it could have been very different if we converted the penalty or a few refereeing decisions were correct.
2-0's a horrible score to defend sometimes and home advantage is far less of an advantage without fans. We'll give it a right go on Monday.
(Nowhere near good enough for L1 though, I agree with that. I think we've got good defenders, I like them all, but my goodness we've conceded some terrible goals, and it costs you in the end. Not many get promoted with a leaky defence.)

We play shìt football very well.
That's it. Combined with that, we don't play fluid passing football as brilliantly as some make out. Yes, we can play decent passing football at times, but not consistently. A) We're in League Two, not the Spanish top flight. B) Other teams, Crewe, Plymouth.... are better at the passing on the deck game. If we play them at their own game there is only one outcome - we lose. We beat them, and I found that very favourable compared to playing pretty defeats. I'm happy to leave playing the beautiful game the beautiful way for another day. Right now, I spend 90minutes wishing we were playing better, but the rest of the week buzzing that we're genuinely in the (automatic) promotion race, bagged another 3 points, scored 4 goals including a worldy, and have Rooney & co coming to teyn. Bring it on!

I think every player had a shout for MOM but what about Scott Wharton again, cool, composed and makes football look easy, just don't tell Blackburn!
Blackburn did just fine today without Wharton. I'm going to mention their No 19 again. Looked a class above league 2. Credit to Morecambe for going 3 up top at 0-3 down. A lot of teams would shut up shop and avoid a battering, but they went for it, got 1 goal and it was working, leaving us 3v3 at the back frequently. The 2 goal recovery at their place came to mind. But good tactical nouse from Curle switching to a back 4. This neutralised the threat and allowed us to totally boss the rest of the game.

Their 19 Carlos Mendes Gomez is running the game. Luckily he's not got anyone with him. We were second best for a fair bit of that so mightily relieved to be 2-0 up.

I can't figure out today's formation at all. 1 central midfielder? Or Turnbull in midfield, but then the defence seems lop-sided. Hopefully the opposition as as baffled as me.

He's from the county you know. Unlikely, I believe he is in jail for tricking people into thinking he was a qualified lawyer. Glad none of us fell for that one Oh, plus a couple of other minor bits like, "nine counts of obtaining a money transfer by deception, eight counts of fraud, three counts of acquiring criminal property, two counts of using a false instrument, one count of attempting to obtain a money transfer by deception, one count of obtaining property by deception and one count of using criminal property." I'm sure we knew all that ahead of our talks though with NTFC's fabled bullet proof due diligence. Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21957686Good job he doesn't still post on here under another name. Rome 30 degrees.

As we know, relegation hang overs are horrid and hard to brush off. We have fresh enthusiasm - Walsall less so. Think we'll chalk up a win and get off to a flyer.
