Not having an U23s is a massive problem. Clubs with similar budgets - or in some cases less - do have U23s. Comes down to how money is spent.
Out of interest could you give us some examples? I've had a look and other than the U23s Premier league I'm not finding anything useful.. I think Coventry do, but then i'd not put them as a similar size club. Cheers

You are indeed correct Jim, but I don’t count this season as it’s been “virtual”. I have been a season ticket holder since the raffle tickets for the hotel end, whilst I support the club and have poured god knows how much into it over the years the under funding of basically everything coupled with the broken promises is enough for me. I’m not saying I won’t attend, the thought of Barrow at home on a Tuesday isn’t that appealing TBH.
Slightly more appealing than Barrow away on a Tuesday

Optimistic...claret tinted specs.....something like that! I hope you are right. However you have predicted we are going to win 5 of our last 6 home games when we have won 5 of the 17 played so far at home. We are also the lowest scorers at home in the division with only 14 goals from those 17 games.
6 of those goals in the last 2. The home form has been poor this season. I'm not feeling as optimistic today.

My point was and still is that Air-Dan’s comment was totally one sided. The play off games alone was worth 100+ poor games. Most supporters seemed happy at the time to forgive and forget? Of course there was more than ten games particularly those won!
Not so sure about the forgive and forget. Personally, I was more than happy with the play offs. I was hopeful that the performances would continue. But, let's be honest, the bad was seriously outweighing the good.

Not all of the games ; I can recall at least 10 games where the style was impressive. Why do you omit this factor in your argument?
Quite possibly because it wasn't worth it. 10 out of 100+ games doesn't really disprove the post.

Not sure we'd ever tempt him here but Paul Cook is the best name mentioned on this thread so far, along with Klopp We'd certainly see an attempt at a different style of football. If you are reading KT dust the cheque book off! Agree 100% I just think there is more chance of it being Sue Cook.

To be honest, I'm actually quite excited by the prospect of those three having a go. I think if I were KT I'd be inclined to hold off recruitment and give them three or four games to see how they do before looking for anyone else. I don't think there's anything to lose at this point.
Completely agree with this!
