28 starts and 10 sub appearances, not too shabby a record. 15 in 39 since returning to Scunny. The quality is definitely there...the application is/was more questionable.
Ok, fair point and I agree he is a good player (or can be) and I'm sure he will show that tonight. I just wish he had tried a little more when he was here.

Can't say I find KC's interview concerning AP's departure on the Chron convincing. KC says he has targets but he has clearly been aware of AP's intentions for a number of weeks. Why haven't we made a move already? He also states the deal is a good one for the club. really? A better one would have been to keep him; especially with our track record of underselling players.
He isn't really going to bring in a replacement before the player leaves. I'd be more concerned if the replacement(s) are not here before the training camp.. or worse still the Walsall game.

Agreed, we were all hoping that it wouldn't happen but it was almost inevitable that he wouldn't be a Cobblers player this coming season. It was just a case of when he/they decided where to and when he would go. Hopefully the fee is sufficient to bring in an appropriate replacement. Has de ligt confirmed his move to Juve yet?
Who will be the skipper for the 2019/20 season?
Alan McCormack?

So, in a nutshell he wanted to leave to play at a higher level but we should have kept him despite this. So we should have had kept another play on (presumably) good money that didn't really want to be here? Its football it happens. Players leave.
