Hopefully with Bolger and Sheehan back for the weekend we will be better but Accrington must start the game as favourites. I just can’t understand why our passing and movement are so poor, it’s got to be down to Curle

Cos we have a 'manger who believes in HOOFING the thing anywhere.
these players have been trained in the art of passing or they wouldn't be professional(to a point;),
only Curle tells them to HOOF

Always was going to be difficult up against a team that could actually play football, control a ball, want the ball and make a pass. Sadly teyn were the non league standard team out there tonight. An absolute shambles, shocking, no plan B just good ball against a non league team.

Embarrassing, I defended these players early in the season, I will eat my words that was truly awful.

Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe revealed his team paid extra attention to corners because he felt they could exploit Northampton's zonal marking ahead of Saturday's League One fixture at Home Park.

And Lowe's work on the training pitch eventually bore fruit when, just four minutes from time, Kell Watts ghosted in unmarked at the back post and volleyed home the winning goal.

“We always knew we could get a goal from a set-piece today," said Lowe. "We had worked on it all week – they use zonal marking from corners against and we felt we could get at that.

From the Chron,

Keith Zonal marking dosen't work

Whatever KC's fleeting success in the playoffs, the guy is damaging to the point, irreparably, our repretation if we ever had it as a footballing side...change tactics...or get rid!

Footballing side we been that possibly twice in the last 40 years(Car ish/Wilder).
we have never had a mid-field.

Any journey man please
we need 5 centre halves, then play 5-0-5,

In truth I feel that most of us are in shock - it was not a professional performance. I have no sympathy for the Manager and his on "field tactics and substitutions". Once they scored their opening goal we visibly "melted away". To me today result ranks of bad management...why?

1)Poor substitutions through out 2nd half.
2)Poor team tactics - after they 1st goal we should have reacted positively.
3)Where was the fight?
4)Where were the leaders on the pitch.
5)Players confidence now shot through.
6)Players (may) probably now have no confidence in Manager
7)The mistaken belief that one up front works with a 5' 7" forward in League 1.
8)Talking about Hoskins - his goal tally is awful and he missed again and again today.
9)They scored 2 goals could of been 4/5- this happens quite regularly - too often now it seems.
10)They brought on  players who made a difference
11)We need a commanding centre half - no frills - another Watson.
12)We need a solid and competent midfielder, someone capable of lifting the team.
14)Why not play wingers

I dont believe it is all about money - there are plenty of teams above us without any and are doing ok.Nor do I attach blame to the Chairman.
The manager has persisted with mistaken League 2 tactics, do you see anyone else play like that?

Finally we where the better team second half, for 15 mins they never gave up, unfortunately we did. We should learn from their free running midfield who were impressive at times.
I personally feel that this season's start and results have now caught up with the manager. The damage has now been done.

when you rest a case it should stay rested, this one has

If anybody is still struggling to get iFollow on a tv, if you have a Firestick you can log in via Amazons Silk browser and request desktop from the menu at the top. Then you can watch it on your telly

I think the best thing at the moment is to not bother,
the blank screen is a vast improvement to the 'performance'

I wouldn't put O.Henry as master of irony although he's a great writer.
Mark Twain would get my vote

Then my friend, we need to have a long conversation and i will convince you to the ways of O' Henry

13  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 10, 2020, 20:00:08 pm
Teams at this level have experience at the back
Posh have beevers
My got in the chap from derby

We got in a free transfer from Macclesfield and a defender who Lincoln deemed surplus to requirements, oh and a youth player from Brentford.

At the other end we have no striker who is proven at league one level or has played at championship level

We have Korboa from a million leagues under the sea
Rose who is proven at league two and may make the step up
Smith who wasn’t prolific at league two level
Bernard who is unproven at league level and has played mainly B team football
Nuttall who doesn’t play
Hoskins who isn’t really a striker and didn’t do it at league one level last time we were here.

Sorry but to have any chance we need a proven higher level defender and striker.....

With the greatest will in the world CW didn’t think Nicky Adams was up to league one football a few years back and it’s unlikely he will improve

Marshall is getting on but you can tell he’s played at this level and should definitely be in the team imo

Watson wasn’t considered league one standard by MK and missilou has to prove he can step up.

We are so short of the required quality it’s untrue but rather than invest in proven players we are gambling on players all coming up trumps.

You can’t **** about at this level

We need a proven championship old head defender
A proven championship old head striker
A proven higher level creative midfielder....

My dream team signings would be

Ashley Williams (unattached) centre back 1 year
David nugent forward (season loan Preston)
Auden  mcgeady (Season loan) Sunderland.

That would give us every chance of survival

I imagine we will go with youth team loans instead Tongue

Curle introduces us to a interview filled with BS etiquette. The underground line appears to be truth-hating but does follow protocol; it bothers him most that vain and trendy Keith (the most entertaining character) does just what he wants. Keith gets bored with boating and finds a new hobby -- blame-- that results in a dividing the truth.

keiths meticulous attention to detail (plaudits to the team) and astonishingly fluid non passing by the midfield that shifts from ground level to God’s-eye view, He  puts the audience(sh!tefollow) right there in the middle of the unfolding chaos. There’s a real sense of epic scale as the action moves breathlessly from one hoof environment to the next, effectively capturing our reluctant misery and sense of anxiety to discovery as we stumble into each new unchartered terrain ie the box.

my case is rested like my views which you know and if you don't then their your own

it is the quiet people that do all the work,by trying to ask for the impossible we may obtain the best possible result.
