Anyone?
Easy fluster More or less agree with this. We had one very good passage of play in the second half with a lovely build up from right defence to left, through midfield, back across to right wing and a reasonable cross into the box. As the cross came in I said if this goes in it'll be goal of the season - unfortunately though... Otherwise, I thought we huffed and puffed but are just toothless currently. While I don't disagree with this, the reality is that the stadium is the fundamental reason why the atmosphere is almost always flat at Sixfields. It's simple acoustics. Even at it's best, when the play is exciting or during controversial incidents, the atmosphere is just OK. What we never experience is that numbing volume of noise that people lose themselves in and become part of. And sadly it is that, more than the football, that first time supporters return for and eventually become lifelong fans.

Doesn't it? Why? You really do need to try and be a bit more positive about the club, you never know you might even start to enjoy yourself.

The team played a brilliant the coach and manager have a great array of players to choose from, as talent is ripe in the squad this season. This match was a 11 a-side game because one of that how cecil says ceil players could not make it, so the poor goalkeepers only had 2 defenders. For all but three of Oldams’ players, this was their debut. Matthew and Charlie need new names both scored one goal each and were not captains for the game. Nathan who didnt play was the only player to score no goals – ( if you read this your an idiot) Oldham scored two, one just at the start of his second spell in the game. Lewis no name supplied also got a fabulous goal. Olham put up a good fight in the second half, but their display was not good enough to beat the ladies of St Mary
At the end of the match gave the winning team a huge cheer and S tMary roared back at them like an northerness The team already hopes that they will win the league. They leftfieldl with their heads held high!Oldahm protest to referee who danced away after Burnley a team not here today were awarded a first-half penalty
Oldhams injury-time goal gave Dave Saprroew a thrilling draw over dawn sandwiche in controversial circumstances to give the northerness club's hopes of avoiding League relegation a huge lift.
who is french thumping header gave the hosts an early lead but charlies nose is not

We play Arsenal U21s in the Leasing.com Trophy tomorrow night (7.30pm kick-off) in a group that also contains Peterborough and Cambridge.
I am attending with my son (I await abuse for supporting my team), so who else is going up to this one?
I feel your pain.

The problem is despite pre-season optimism we don't have very good players and we have an unimaginative manager.
I think the players want to play football but the manager wants to hoof to the big man and hope for a lucky break.

I think that if you watch very very boring hit and hope football for 3/4 games, you then question whether it is worth going to get very very bored for £22, + beer/food(travel) etc so say £100/200.
Watching Curle is like watching Atkins's hoof but without the goals, this season has been total non-football. We can't string 3 passes together and they are told to hoof it. The players are told not to play it on the ground but hoof ,that's why they all look pi$$ed off
Curle tries to make a simple game complicated, he thinks hes playing chess.

Agree with you all. It was a boring game overall, I dont think we had a chance worthy of the name .....which by the way is very poor! We didnt do a lot really to get the crowd going ,We look bereft of confidence, look like individuals rather than a team. Lines had a mare, Williams hardly touched the ball all game, Adams quiet, as was Hoskins , Smith lacks confidence and was poor with his header straight at the keeper but....ran about a bit, but not much else.
Considering it was this was the 6th game of the season....We looked unfit, we also look really unsure when teams run at us, and don't know when to tackle or back off(coaches get ya fingers out ) Also Cornell saved at least three possible goals
Later on, the players and the crowd seemed resigned to their fate! Not much atmosphere to talk of!
Just seen the penalty on Youtube as it was hard to see what happened in real time, unfortunate for McWilliams his body postion was all wrong to attempt that tackle.
we move on

Funny that I distinctly heard their crowd moaning at their sideways and back passing mostly in their half; much of which went astray! Your report is at odds with others there. Quite strange that!

They had much better movement all over the pitch, they kept the ball and passed it well, we again gave it away quite cheaply. We huffed and puffed all night, also Hoskins and Adams largely ineffective. Williams looked well offside fromm were i was sitting for the goal. I wondered if Curle would provided more protection for the back four and in reality we didn't create much at all,i thought Lines was our best player. Clearly Swindon are a good side but lack of creativity is visiting us once again and we are looking quite ordinary/boring. Another tough game on Saturday hopefully we can move forward again, there is a lot of pressure on Curle to get us to perform like a football team and not a hit and hope team(but i think we are stuck hoof ball)

A 'more experienced' manager would make a difference.....AMAZING comment!. There is not many with more experienced unless you are going to dig some up who are 6 foot underground!
Yes Curle plays in a one dimensional way, Yes we need more pace going forward, Yes Hoskins needs dropping,
BUT changing managers has NOT worked previously!!!
So what are you doing about the situation? Some posters quote theory as fact but do not come up with a likely workable alternative to the current mess The midfield did not help because they did not make any runs in advance of Hoskins.

Can't really believe I am reading this.
Does any more weight need to be added to this debate? Unless they do something that is glaringly obvious which deliberately damages the team, crucifying anyone for a genuine mistake does not only affect their morale, but almost certainly the rest of the team
