Bowie and Leonard go down as my favourite loan players ever. I can't name any players that come close to giving so much passion and commitment. Without a doubt Brady bringing them back was best but if transfer business we did and he should take full credit for it
I will follow both their careers with a keen eye and wish them all the best for future.

I like Jon a lot, but his choice of signing Patrick Brough baffles me, terrible defender, OK going forward, clearly a L2 standard defender. Both AK and Kioki are so far ahead of him it’s ridiculous, what does everyone else think?
I'm 50/50 on him, as theinabed mentioned , he wouldn't be first choice if Koiki was fit. He ok against bottom half sides but against Posh he got absolutely roasted

There is potential for Appere to 'do a Hoskins' i.e. mature into a player with composure and precise finishing later in his career. He has the attributes to be a more than decent L1 striker and time is on his side at 25.
Not for me, he was beyond poor today. Simpson on other hand does have all the attributes to be very good at this level and I'd love to have him back

I’m going word for word with this.
I like Odimayo and Fox However they are on about 5k a week between them and played an average of 20 games each. I'd rather go for people less injury prone. Out the two though I'd keep Odimayo. So much potential.

I can't believe the over reactions on here
We got hammered by a decent team, with a bigger budget than us. They had a player on pitch worth 5million quid?
I can't excuse the full backs performance but these things happen.
It's our first season back in the league. We are all but safe and yes took a few beatings by bigger and better clubs.
Happens in every league all round the world.

Doesn’t really explain why teams lower than us in the table have had greater success?
I reckon there’s a bit more too it?
Of course, but look at the top positions in the leagues right now, they are largely occupied by the teams with highest budgets Definitely in our league Championship and Prem.

Top Six Away Days:
Portsmouth 4 Northampton 1 Derby 4 Northampton 0 Barnsley v Northampton Bolton 2 Northampton 1 Peterborough 5 Northampton 1 Stevenage 3 Northampton
PL 5 W 0 D 0 L 5 GF 3 GA 18
Sort of tells the whole story.
Yes and fairly straightforward one Bigger budgets make a difference

How refreshing to see us play and pause on the ball rather than hoofing it forward - we are a class above many of the cobblers sides I've seen over the years - the biggest concern is how we replace 3 very significant loan players
Once we've offloaded the Hylton and a very average Appere, along with the 3 loanees returning that should free up some wages. I can't see any reason why we shouldn't be trying to get both Bowie and Simpson back though.
