Isn't that called 'retail' these days? Although you might struggle to try it on as they won't have your size and you may get sneered at by a shop assistant. The shopping model I use nowadays is to order the same item in 5 sizes/colours, maybe keep one and send the rest back to receive what I like to call 'free money'. I never use anyone who charges for delivery or has a dodgy returns policy, i.e. someone like Sports Direct. Word of advice for all. There is sometimes a significant difference between a “returns policy” and what the Consumer Rights Act says. Know your rights and never just shrug your shoulders, accept what you are told and walk away. Dont get me started on extended warranty offers. This relates to distance selling which covers internet purchases under UK law and it’s unconditional. “You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you. You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back. They do not have to provide a reason”. https://www.gov.uk/accepting-returns-and-giving-refunds

The trend is to have a shop that you can’t buy from and has no stock, but you can try on or test their products and talk to experts, then go and order online. Samsung have one of these near Kings Cross.
How about a shop that you can buy from, but is also a mini distribution centre that does same day deliveries within a 10 mile radius or so? If they can do it with pizza, seems a bit stupid not to apply the same principle to higher value stuff?

I'm always too busy.
Are you still known as Sir Lancelot, and is that why you are so busy? I wondered what the "keep it up, keep it up" bit was about?

Didn’t the council say there would be an obligation to finish the stand written into the contract for the land deal? Just a guess but the wording probably wouldn’t have been “finish the stand”. I would imagine there would be some conditional elements attached (probably budget) but perhaps also some other design features. Therefore wouldn’t it make sense to produce the final designs based on those conditional commitments, and wouldn’t they also need to be approved before being made public? Personally I wouldn’t have expected to see some final designs for quite a while yet?
Whilst on the subject, I would also imagine the club would have used the unforeseen additional costs due to extended delays as a result of the JR and ACV etc as leverage in those negotiations. After all they have once again just repeated that they were financially impacted by those events in their annual accounts for the second year in a row, so why wouldn’t they?
In the interim expect plenty of kicking and screaming on the way down from the top of the cliff certain individuals held hands and jumped off.

I know where you're coming from. Scarlett Johansson has never begged me for sex but if she did, I'd turn her down.
You can get some pills for that these days.

Im not sure that a 14.00 kick off does add to the excitement, local businesses, or local hostelries, due to an hour less spending time.
Clocks go back tonight meaning it’s now a midnight kick off 🎉. If we had a 2pm kick off as well, I could truly return from the dead.

A couple of quid on a land registry search should show this.
I would imagine one of the secret seven jumped on that like Zebedee on crack.

I wonder where the profits on the sale of the land now fully acquired will be shown and the actual tax treatment of that.
Which entity or individual(s) actually brought the land?

Thanks for the clarification.
The Cobblers must have tax losses brought forward in the region of £9.2 million (roughly the retained losses figure). A potential Deferred Tax Asset of £1.84 million (9.2 million x 20%) not currently recognised on the Balance Sheet.
To be fair you seem a lot more clued up than me, I just assumed it would be a while before we showed anywhere near a profit.

Genuine question, what is the definition of a reasonable standard, has anyone actually put a stake in the ground and identified the benchmark. I’ve been putting this out there for about 3 years, I haven’t the first clue what constitutes reasonable in these circumstances, and from what I can tell neither does anyone else.
Edit: apologies, excluding Manny.

Regarding Corporation Tax;
If you are saying it is the club (NTFC) making the profit on sales of alcohol the club has enormous corporation tax losses brought forward to set against the profit.
Correct, but I was talking generally, assuming we are talking about an entity operating in the black, which is the suggestion.
