At least Lloyd Jones is coming to the rescue.
165  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (a) on: October 17, 2020, 16:01:15 pm
Sadly the issue is we aren't very good.
166  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth Argyle (a) on: October 16, 2020, 09:39:06 am
4-0 Plymouth.
167  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Window on: October 16, 2020, 09:36:09 am
We've been spun a web of lies once again.

Go up to L1 and "we won't make the same mistakes again".

Fast forward and we make exactly the same mistakes again.

Speculate to accumulate for once ffs.
168  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 10, 2020, 18:30:17 pm
Iím not sure Keith has the nous to sort it, we look back at last season with rose tinted glasses. We played exceptionally well in 2 keys games, but for a lot of last season we werenít even playing League 2 football well. We were fortunate to get Morton when we did. I see quotes of Boro being 2 levels above us, I didnít see a particularly top quality team aside from 1 or 2 of their players, itís more like our level was National League.

Agree with this. They were relatively average L1 side, we however looked like we'd struggle against Kettering.

No way of defending that performance. Or the last few really.

We are simply not good enough in all aspects.
170  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 10, 2020, 00:27:42 am
Think heíd do a better job, at least heíd look interested and put himself about a little bit 😃

Joe Martin can't play up front tomorrow. He's having a go in goal.
171  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 09, 2020, 19:06:22 pm
Personally, I'd start Martin at CB.
172  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Colin Calderwood on: October 07, 2020, 22:14:29 pm
Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on here, good to see Colin back at the Cobblers.

Head Coach of the international academy.
173  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 05, 2020, 00:00:53 am
To say we have no chance is incredibly rude to the club   Wink

It is indeed.
174  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The P*sh (Saturday 10th October) on: October 04, 2020, 17:20:16 pm
No chance we take anything from this.

Let's just hope we **** them up a bit.
175  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Bristol Rovers (a) Saturday 3 October 2020 - 1500hrs KO on: October 04, 2020, 09:31:08 am
That was atrocious. They'll know that I guess.

Bolger/Racic look well below the required level.
Watson has gone backwards or is simply not good enough for L1.
Smith needs to wake up, had a chance to completely own our front line and be the focal point, he doesn't look interested though.
176  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The Board - Fact Or Fiction? on: October 03, 2020, 00:55:28 am
I think there is no getting away from the fact that NTFC have been incredibly lucky in quite a few ways in 2020. First of all we have a FA Cup run which brings in around £750,000, we then get promoted when not too many thought we would which increased our share of TV money. We then sell Charlie Goode for around £1M, and we were able to get rid of the last of the big earners from the JFH era and we have, apparently, sold getting on for 3,000 Season Tickets. The FA Cup, Charlie Goode and STs have bought in over £2.5M plus our share of the TV money, the playing budget is rumoured to be in the region of £1.2M and a lot of the staff have been furloughed so we should, hopefully, be OK to ride out this rough spell without KT & DB dipping into their pocket too much.
The figures I've used have been quoted elsewhere, they might not be 100% accurate but I don't think they are too far out.

To call it lucky is incredibly rude to the club.

Outside of football what gives you pleasure?
I have yet to see a genuine positive post from you that isnít filled with pointless sarcasm. Donít you have anything better to do with your time?

Handjobs from Edward Scissorhands is my guess.
178  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: 'Ull Sat'dy on: September 28, 2020, 10:27:59 am
Racic is the big concern for me. He doesn't look good enough or ready for 1st team football. Hopefully he improves.
179  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: 'Ull Sat'dy on: September 26, 2020, 18:12:08 pm
Frustrating game but no need to panic I don't think. They were well organised and played the ref well. We looked pretty toothless which is the main concern.

Be surprised if Hull are up there though.
180  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Crowd trials on: September 23, 2020, 00:27:28 am
As usual wrong, I think you will find it hasnít gone so well for people who have bought a season ticket.
Try again.

Are you okay?
