Looks like one announced at 2pm

How to ruin a forum, lesson 101 by Shoemaker.
23  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 24, 2021, 13:02:06 pm
Ah the yearly Shoemaker breakdown over us not spending 500k on a striker. One of my favourite times of the year.
24  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 21, 2021, 15:15:13 pm
Can't you go and have your inane arguments elsewhere? Ridiculous lately.
25  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 17, 2021, 20:44:11 pm
Matt Jay.

Realistic and fair shout.

26  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 17, 2021, 19:47:37 pm
The Shoemaker of doom is having a nice time I see.

Why not just wait and see and then launch into the club if no striker is bought?

I'd ask this question, realistic options only...what would you say is a statement striker signing for Northampton Town in this transfer window?
27  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 14, 2021, 17:13:01 pm
Maybe the cash signing is linked to the other Chuck...?

I think wait and see what pans out. Pretty sure it's zero to do with wages though and more about cash to buy someone. Don't pay out until the other is confirmed, surely?
28  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window on: July 14, 2021, 12:21:28 pm
Striker will be bought with actual money when Caleb moves on, apparently...
29  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Cobblers v England on: July 08, 2021, 21:11:48 pm
England for me.

Thats a recent change of opinion though.

Itís not difficult to work out which ďjournalistsĒ have told them, I donít think we have to look that far TBH.

The letter in question, now how did that find its way onto Twitter?
Thereís only two ways, from the club or the recipient, this really is turning nasty.

Letter thing is pretty clear.

Fan asked for info, club shared with fan, fan puts on Twitter.

No real issue from me as the club said they're happy to share any comms they've had with the Trust to anybody that asks as they feel like they've done nothing wrong and happy to be transparent - which people kick them for.

My issue is it should all be played out and sorted out behind closed doors, this is doing nobody any good and neither side comes out with any real credit.

The trust should rightly scrutinise the club but there is a way of going about things and my view is the Trust have the tone wrong and the approach wrong.

The club should have been more clear earlier and should have been more open and honest all along, we'd probably never have got to this point if that was the case.

Overall, both at fault and roll on the actual football.
31  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Trust statement on club finances on: July 06, 2021, 12:58:49 pm
Hereís one for you, why donít the club just come out and make a statement?
This isnít going away so one statement would stop all this confusion and potentially false allegations.

OVER TO THE CLUB.

Agree

If anyone wants to know why things are "so divided" the clue is how this person got their hands on this letter.

I don't think things fans are more divided by the way, most couldn't care either way .I just think the owners want a land deal, the trust are being cautious after last time and some fans are unquestionably loyal to the owners despite everything that's gone on in the past.

Personally it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, all this constant sniping against the trust from club owners and employees. Constant reminders of how we were "saved". Apparently now the owners "saved" us when the 5usport deal fell through.

Someone posted this on Twitter this morning....I don't know how he/she got hold of it but I had seen mention about this letter a few days ago.

Hopefully not another false dawn for the East Stand. I won't hold my breath though!

To be honest and I have also commented on these before, they were polls of questions that were loaded in such a way to provide the answers that the compiler(s) wanted.

Nail on the head.

A survey should be entirely neutral and the questions should not be leading.

Surely engagement is a two way street? It seems plenty have something to say about things now, mainly off the back of a couple of Club statements.

There is a Trust website as you say, there is a messageboard as you say, there is a Facebook page as you say.... the facilities/channels of communication are available.

Also worth pointing out that it seems a large number of Trust members are saying "i've not heard anything from the Trust for years".......the last two letters sent out by the Trust included a GDPR form, and it is a requirement for members to give their consent to receive publications, newsletters, communications etc. There are restrictions on sending mail, either by post or electronically without the consent afforded by the GDPR form.

I'm not going to pretend that the Trust have done everything they could have done to communicate, however it can't be portrayed that they've done nothing either.

Any Trust member can ask for an invite (in current Zoom times) to any Trust board meeting. Any Truat member can attend the AGM (joining instructions are sent out when notification of the meeting is made) and anyone can find the website as you have done and send an email about anything.

I've been a board member for around four months now, and our monthly meetings always have the "correspondence" standing order.....I think there have been two communications from Trust members in the four months.

TBF the Trust hardly comes across as a welcoming environment.

The Trust needs to represent the fans they stand for, not for a few of their board members.

Step away from the keyboard.

I do understand the staff not liking the 'hate' but the fact they have to mention in their statement that the owners are basically great cos they get paid on time is hardly setting the bar high in business standards. !

Why not? My company pays me on time and the bosses treat me brilliantly, and I tell that to anyone that asks me about my work.
